Outside the Canvas, Inside the lens: Greenery Chapter is a reoccurring event in Genshin Impact Version 3.2 update which first appeared in the version 2.6 update. In this event, players need to capture various pictures under a different set of conditions. Help the illustrator named Asagiri from Inazuma by clicking pictures using your Kamera and obtain rewards like primogems, Mora, and more.
How to unlock the Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Event Quest in Genshin Impact 3.2 Update
Here are the requirements for unlocking the event quest:
- Adventure Rank 30 or above
- Completion of the Archon Quest “Ritou Escape Plan” and the World Quest “Snapshots.”
- Completion of Yoimiya’s Story Quest “Carassius Auratus Chapter: Act I-Dreamlike Timelessness” and Tartaglia’s Story Quest “Monoceros Caeli Chapter: Act I-Mighty Cyclops Adventure” for a better experience.
If players have not completed Yoimiya and Tartaglia’s Story Quests during the event, they can also enter the event through “Quick Start” on the event page.
Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Quest Walkthrough
Two photo-taking spots will unlock every day from the first day of the event.
Players must equip their Kamera and interact with the photo-taking points to enter Photo-Taking Mode. The process is split into an adjustment phase where the player determines the photo’s settings and a photo-taking phase in which you can move and use your skills.
During the adjustment phase, players need to first select their Kamera Settings and then proceed to adjust the position and angle of the photo. Take note that the photo-taking points must be within the Kamera frame. Once players have confirmed their settings, it’s time to move on to the photo-taking phase.
During the photo-taking phase, the angle of the finalized image will be decided by the settings players adjusted previously. During the photo-taking process, the direction of the shoot will be indicated by the “Photoshoot” option.
If players wish to adjust their Kamera Settings again, they can tap “Pause Challenge” and return to their preset, thus starting the setting adjustment process over again. Once you have finished taking a photo, if you wish to continue taking pictures using the current settings, you can tap “Keep Taking Photos” to return to the photo-taking phase.

Players will get Primogems, Mora, and level-up materials on completing the Outside the Canvas Inside the Lens event quest.
