Genshin Impact will be releasing their latest patch update, Version 3.5 “Windblume’s Breath” around the 1st of March, 2023. This guide provides the players with a rough estimate of how many free Primogems any individual may obtain if they play all the contents of the Genshin Impact 3.5 update. Some re-run banners aside, this version is packed with limited content that is full of rewards with high amounts of Primogems being obtainable. Free-to-Play players should take advantage of the new update and collect those free Primogems.
This patch will be releasing another very highly anticipated 5-star character ever since the Sumeru Archon Quests “Dehya”, who is an Eremite Mercenary hailing from the Desert. Along with Dehya, the game will release a new 4-star character named “Mika” who is yet another pre-established character that has been seen ever since Version 3.1 in the limited event ‘Of Ballads and Brews’.
How to get free Primogems with Genshin Impact 3.5 Update
1. Daily Commissions
The 3.5 Patch will run for six whole weeks as usual. Players can gain 60 Primogems for a total of 42 days if they complete their commissions on time before the daily reset hits. A total of 2520 Primogems (42 x 60) can be obtained.
2. Spiral Abyss
The Spiral Abyss resets every 15 days from Floor 8 to Floor 12. Each Floor has three Chambers where they reward you with 50 Primogems if the player can finish the challenges on time (so the players can obtain 150 Primogems every Floor). A total of 600 Primogems are given each Spiral Abyss rotation. The Abyss will reset about two times during the 3.5 patch meaning you can obtain a total of1200 Primogems (600 x 2).
3. Paimon’s Bargains (Stardust Exchange)
In the Paimon’s Bargains Shop, there is a section called Stardust Exchange where players can purchase a total of 5 Acquaint Fates and 5 Intertwined Fates in exchange for Stardust (which is obtained by Wishing). The Shop resets every month on the first day of the week so make sure you buy the Fates before that. According to the patch timeline, players can obtain 5 Intertwined Fates (1600 Primogems) during the update on the April 2023 refresh.
4. HoYoLAB Daily Check-In
Genshin Impact has a Daily Check-In reward system each month at their HoYoLAB website where players can obtain a total of 100 primogems just by checking in the HoYoLAB App or Website. Tip: Players don’t need to complete the whole month to acquire 60 primogems each, only check in for 18 days straight.
5. Version 3.5 Update Compensation
When a new patch update hits, Genshin Impact takes a few hours (mainly around 5 hours) for maintenance of the update. After maintenance is done, players can log in to enjoy the fresh new patch update and also receive compensation in their Mail for the maintenance (600 primogems). Be warned that players should claim this mail during the update or else it will expire.
6. Version 3.6 Livestream
To bring excitement and hype around new updates, Genshin Impact usually hosts a Livestream for the upcoming patch and reveals bits through trailers and discussions. During the Livestream, they bring out three Codes to redeem where each code rewards you with 100 primogems. A total of 300 primogems can be obtained. Be sure to redeem the codes as soon as possible as they expire after 24 hours or less.
7. Test Runs
Each five-star they run banners for during the updates has a Test Run where players can check out the playable characters and how they function. After completing the Test Runs, players can claim 20 Primogems plus ascension materials for said characters. Characters such as Dehya, Cyno, Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhewould have banners during the 3.5 updates hence a total of 80 Primogems can be obtained.
8. Quests and Hangouts
A new update means new Quests and Hangouts to complete and this update has a bunch of them. World Quests aside, this patch will introduce us to a new playable character that players are quite familiar with during the Sumeru Archon Quests. Dehya will be released in this patch which means a new Story Quest is on the way called‘Mantichora Chapter ACT I’. This Quest follows the events after the previous Sumeru storyline takes place, last Archon Quest ACT V. Additionally, a new Archon Quest will also be released called “Caribert” where we will Dainsleif once again along with Kaeya. After many patches other, this update will give us a new Hangout Event, with Faruzan. A total of 180 Primogems can be obtained through these Quests and Events.
9. New QOL (Quality of Life) Updates
A new QOL update is released in this 3.5 Version patch where the game has added a new ‘Tour Guide’ feature. Starting from Version 3.5, players will be able to receive 1 Intertwined Fate upon completing each Archon Quest chapters. The Tour Guide feature is located in the Adventurer’s Handbook. If players are able to finish and are caught up with all the released Archon Quests, then in this Version they will be receiving a total of 23 Intertwined Fates (Approx. 23 x 160 = 3680 Primogems).
10. Achievements
More achievement tasks are added to the new update of the game, including a whole new Achievement Category due to the new update changes and limited events for 3.5 being added in the game which entails more achievements. Completing them all would result in obtaining a total of 55 Primogems.
11. Limited Events
- Windblume’s Breath: This patch’s flagship limited event is called ‘Windblume’s Breath’. Another Windblume Festival draws near once again as the Traveler and Paimon return back to Mondstadt City and find themselves pleasantly surprised by the amount of friends present, many of which have come over all the way from the region of Sumeru. The Flagship limited event will give players a total of 1000 Primogems.
- Fungus Mechanics: In a corner of Port Ormos, the Traveler and Paimon encounter friends who they made during the inaugural Nilotpala Cup Beast Tamers Tournament. They are currently preparing for the next tournament, and to that effect have up with a new game with which to advertise for the Beast Tamer’s Tournament. Total Primogems to be obtained through this event: 420 Primogems.
- Spices from the West: A familiar face has showed up at Good Hunter. Help her complete her research, and find rewards shall be yours.Total Primogems to be obtained through this event: 420 Primogems.
- Vibro-Crystal Verification: An engineer from Fontaine has arrived at the outskirts of the Chasm to study the harmonic motion between gems known as Vibro-Crystals in an effort to clear the name of his colleague, who has been accused of faking his data. Connect Transmitter and Receiver Crystals and attempt to produce various effects that will allow you to defeat your foes with ease. Total Primogems to be obtained through this event: 420 Primogems.
12. Miscellaneous Codes and Web Events
To bring promotion to each patch, Genshin Impact releases a few Web Events where players can play a few mini-games through the Genshin Impact website and obtain Primogems as they go by. Codes are also given randomly to redeem as a promotional method. An estimated amount of 200 primogems can be obtained through the events and codes.
