Genshin Impact Version 4.1 update has brought a new set of enemies for both Floor 11 in the Spiral Abyss. Since these are the topmost floors of the Abyss, ensure that you have units that are at least sufficiently built for the teams they are in. In this guide, we will explain the new changes in the current Spiral Abyss, how to clear them in the current Genshin Impact 4.1 patch update, and the most optimal teams that can be used.
Genshin Impact 4.1 Update Spiral Abyss Guide: How to clear Floor 11
Ley Line Disorders: All party members receive a 60% Cryo DMG Bonus. All party members receive a 60% Hydro DMG Bonus.
Chamber 1
First Half
- In the first wave, four enemies will attack the Monolith while the other two will target your character on-field. The Eremite Linebreakers will get close to the Monolith while the Eremite Crossbows will attack from afar. An Anemo CC is highly recommended. If you do not have any Anemo CC, use a Melee Charged Attack on one of the Eremite Crossbows in the direction of the Monolith which will make him near the Linebreakers. After that, do the same to the other Eremite Crossbow enemy.
- By the time both Eremite Crossbows are near the Monolith along with the Eremite Linebreakers, the 2 other Eremites that were chasing you will focus on you and will be near the Monolith also. At this point, unleash all your team’s Skills and Bursts to deal damage to all of the Eremite enemies.
- Once any enemy dies, a new enemy from the next wave will spawn will may confuse you as you won’t be able to identify which enemies were originally in Wave 1 and which are from Wave 2. That’s why it’s better to use Anemo CC to have the best opportunity to kill all enemies in 1 wave instantly.
- In the second wave, only 2 enemies are attacking the Monolith while the other 4 will chase after your character. This wave is considerably easier since the 2 enemies are Eremite Linebreakers and they will get near the Monolith which would mean instant crowd control. You can defeat them both at the same time then after that, just run far away from the Monolith so the remaining enemies will chase after your character.
Second Half
- In the first and second waves, both the Electro Lawachurls will chase after your character and won’t attack the Monolith. This half is extremely easy since they only target your character and so all you need to do is get away from the Monolith and the Electro Lawachurls will follow after you. Take your time defeating them because there’s no timer in this challenge. Using an Elemental character that can counter Electro and react with it.
Chamber 2
First Half
- In the first wave, all enemies spawn very close to you, so it’s a good idea to bring characters with AoE damage to target them all at once. If possible, use a character with Anemo abilities to group the enemies together and prevent them from teleporting or flying away.
- Keep in mind that Specters are immune to their own elemental attacks. Ensure you have at least one character with a different element, such as Hydro, to create reactions that can hurt them effectively.
- After defeating one Specter, a new one will spawn in the next wave. However, their behavior remains similar as they all pursue you. Try to stagger them to prevent attacks and elemental reactions, or bring a character with a shield.
- In the second and third waves, the strategy stays the same. Specters continue to spawn close together. Use Anemo abilities to group them even closer and trigger various elemental reactions through Swirl. Be cautious of your health, as these Specters explode when their HP reaches zero, dealing damage to their own element if you lack a shield.
- If you have Cryo Specters in a Freeze team, use non-Cryo attacks from your other characters, such as physical attacks, Anemo, or Hydro, because Cryo attacks won’t affect them due to their immunity.
Second Half
- In the first wave, there’s only one Ruin Guard, and it’s located at the front. It moves slowly, so as soon as the challenge begins, head to the front and start attacking it.
- Ruin Guards have two weak points: their glowing eye and a small socket on their back. Hitting either of these weak points will briefly stagger the Ruin Guard. If you hit the second weakness quickly, it will collapse and deactivate briefly. However, if you’re tight on time, it’s better to use all your character skills and trigger elemental reactions instead of aiming for the weak points. If you still want to target the weak points, it’s advisable to use a Bow character’s aimed shot for better accuracy and a higher chance of hitting the cores.
- In the second wave, there’s only one Ruin Grader on the left side of the arena. From your previous position at the front, you can wait for the Ruin Grader to use a charged attack in your direction or go to its location and attempt to disable the charged attack by hitting its head or feet.
- Ruin Graders also have two weak points: the cores on their head and feet. Hitting one of these weak points will interrupt the Ruin Grader’s current attack. Hitting the second weak point will disable it for around 20 seconds. Whether you should aim for the weak points depends on the time you have. If time is abundant, aiming for the weak points to paralyze it is a good strategy. Using a Bow character’s aimed shot will improve accuracy and increase your chances of hitting the cores. However, if time is limited, brute force is better as another wave awaits.
- In the third wave, there’s only one Ruin Drake, and it approaches slowly in your direction. This is the enemy to focus on hitting the weak point when it’s exposed. At a certain point, the Ruin Drake will charge and release bombs into the air. This is when you should use a Bow character’s aimed shot (or a melee character’s skill because the Drake lowers itself enough for a melee attack).
- Failing to hit the weak point will cause the Ruin Drake to gain 40% Resistance to the element it received the most damage from at the beginning of the battle (the element’s color is seen in the bombs). To avoid this, make sure to hit the weak point as there are limited opportunities to do so.
Third Chamber
First Half
- In the first wave, the Slimes are scattered far apart. If you don’t have any characters with Anemo crowd control abilities, head near the two Pyro Slimes at the front and lure the other Slimes to chase you. Prioritize dealing with the Pyro Slimes because they can enter a state where they’re set on fire (unofficially known as the Ignited state) and become affected by the Pyro status.
- When you manage to put out this fiery state through elemental reactions, the Pyro Slimes will move away from you, which breaks the crowd control even more. This is why it’s important to focus on the Pyro Slimes first, followed by the Mutant Slimes, and then the Electro Slimes. Ideally, it’s best to bring a character with Anemo crowd control to handle this situation.
- In the second wave, the enemies spawn close together in the back area, so quickly move to the back when the second wave begins. All the enemies have their own elemental shields (Bubble Seahorse with Electro and Sternshield Crab with Pyro). Try to remove the shields first because they provide a 60% resistance to all damage and enhance their attacks. Once the shield is gone, they become less of a threat and are easier to defeat.
- In the third wave, the enemies spawn close together in the front area, so dash to the front when the third wave starts. Prioritize removing the Pyro shield from the Abyss Mage to prevent it from attacking you before dealing with the Primus.
- When dealing with the 2 Overgrown Breachers, their stressed state will make them create a Dendro shield and fire waves of Dendro damage missiles. The shield can be broken using elemental reactions (weakest to Electro, Hydro, Pyro) or a single powerful attack. Once the shield is broken, the Breacher Primus will become paralyzed for an extended period.
Second Half
- This floor has only one wave. Both Phantasms on this floor are in an Enraged State right from the start, and this state lasts permanently. In this state, their attacks are stronger, and they can’t be Frozen.
- The Water-Spouting Phantasm moves a bit slower than the Water-Splitting one. At the beginning of the challenge, head to the back area where the Water-Spouting Phantasm is and lure the Water-Splitting one from the front to chase you. Once they’re together, focus on damaging them while trying to avoid their attacks, unless you have a shield to reduce the damage you take.
Optimal Team Comps to use on Floor 11 in Genshin Impact 4.1 Update Spiral Abyss
During the first half of this floor, using elemental reactions can be highly effective. However, it’s crucial to have a Hydro element in your team. Additionally, I recommend including at least one Anemo crowd-control character, as there are numerous enemies in each chamber that can be grouped together, which can save you valuable time.
Moving on to the second half, bringing an Electro character is ideal, especially when dealing with Primal Constructs that can enter an invisibility state. In terms of elemental reactions, consider using Catalyze or Hyperbloom. Anemo crowd control characters aren’t necessary in this half, as the only chamber with many enemies is Chamber 1, while Chambers 2 and 3 feature bosses that cannot be gathered.
