Hyakunin Ikki is a reoccurring event in Genshin Impact, which was first introduced on the 2nd of September, 2021. It is a free-for-all fighting tournament held in an unknown guild hall near Inazuma City, where players can take part in the event to win rewards such as primogems, mora, talent level-up materials etc by defeating opponents and earning scores.
Hyakunin Ikki Event: Complete Details
During the first six days of Hyakunin, a new challenge will be unlocked each day. During these challenges, players can use either the trial characters provided or their own characters to form 6 tag teams of two characters and take part in the challenge. Talk to “Kayabuki Ikkei” in Inazuma to start the event.

- Completion of archon quest “Ritou Escape Plan”
Event Rules
Secret arts: Each tag-team group can be equipped with powerful, event-specific skills known as Secret Arts. The Secret Arts are split into two categories of:
- Transmission Arts, which change based on the challenge you are taking on
- Normal Secret Arts, which can be used in any challenges.
The goal of these challenges is to defeat as many opponents as possible to score points within a limited time, and players will earn different levels of insignias, based on the score they obtain. Challenge opponents will be split into two kinds:
- Seisai: These opponents will join the battle with the passage of time once other opponents have been defeated.
- Engi: These opponents take the field once the previous wave is defeated.
Elemental Resonances will not take effect during Hyakunin Ikki challenges, nor will they be able to use food or other items.
Genshin Impact Hyakunin Ikki Event: Gameplay Mechanics
The Hyakunin Ikki follows special combat rules. Characters must be divided into 6 teams, and each team can have a maximum of 2 characters and 2 Secrets Arts. These Secret Arts are divided into challenge-specific.
Transmission Arts and Normal Secret Arts can be used in any challenge. Not only, players can switch characters during this challenge, but also switch teams. Switching teams will cycle through teams, in order of when they were formed.
Every 10s, players can use the Relay skill to switch to the next team. If one team stays on the field for too long, their combat ability will decrease drastically. However, switching to other teams will remove most of the debuffs formed.
When players switch teams and defeat opponents, they will accumulate Fervor. When Fervor builds up to a specific extent, they will increase the level of Ferocious Fervor, which will provide bonuses in battle.
During this challenge, players must defeat opponents that constantly emerge to obtain points within the allotted time. Of those opponents, Nemeses will provide more points. Once the challenge ends, players will gain different insignias, based on the number of points they earned

- Primogems x 420
- Mora x 180,000
- Mystic Enhancement ore x 36
- Mask of the tiger bite x 4
- Jeweled Branch of a distant sea x 9
- Guide to transience x 12
