Warner Bros. Games has announced the launch of its latest strategy game, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, now available on both Android and iOS. Developed by Warner Bros. Games Boston, the game initially began with a soft launch in select SEA regions in 2025 and opened global pre-registration back in April 2026.
Build your dragon army and conquer Westeros
So, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is a new strategy title inspired by the critically acclaimed HBO drama series, House of the Dragon. The lore takes place 172 years before the time of Daenerys Targaryen, you step into Westeros as a rising dragonrider, a Valyrian descendant newly bonded with their first dragon, building power across Westeros, with the ultimate goal of seizing control of King’s Landing.
Gameplay-wise, you can collect from 28 unique dragons, including iconic ones like Caraxes and Syrax, but I’m mostly excited for the original beasts created specifically for the game. You can then experiment with diverse strategies, since each dragon comes with distinct Command skills, passive Habit abilities, troop affinities, and powerful synergies, and then field up to five dragon-led armies simultaneously for coordinated marches, strategic assaults, and defensive maneuvers across a tiled map.
You can shape the future of Westeros through Alliances and seasonal conflicts
Plus, I love how in this living world, limited-time seasonal Reigns resets both competition and race for territory control, as you get new storylines. But don’t worry about permanent progress like dragon growth, since they remain intact. And as you progress, you can also form Alliances with others, coordinate attacks, and try to conquer iconic locations and castles.
Overall, I’m loving this game, especially thanks to its scenario-driven conflicts called Campaigns, familiar characters and power struggles from the series, branching storylines and reactive Campaign stages, objectives, special scenes, a Dragon Strike minigame, and more. And one of the best parts is how player decisions collectively influence how the overarching story unfolds, creating a living, shared experience across Westeros.
Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is now available on both Android and iOS. So, you can go ahead and download the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store.
