Tsurumi Island, the latest addition to Inazuma in Genshin Impact is covered in a shroud of mist that players need to clear by completing the Through the Mist questline. The quest will introduce players to the history of the island. On completing the second part of the Through the Mist questline known as “The Octave of Maushiro”, players will unlock the gadget Peculiar Pinion. In this article, we will present a step-by-step guide to complete the Genshin Impact Octave of the Maushiro World quest and how to use the Peculiar Pinion gadget.
Octave of the Maushiro World quest: How to solve
To start the quest, players first need to finish the quest A Particularly Particular Author and wait for the server to reset. On the next day, this quest will automatically appear in the world quest section. On reaching Tsurumi island, players need to follow the directions as per the quest, they will again meet Ruu who will give players the latest gadget to be added to Genshin Impact, Peculiar Pinion. Travelers will recognize the aptly named peculiar-looking feather from the world quest Serai Stormchasers.
Peculiar Pinion in Genshin Impact: How to use
Ruu introduces gamers to mysterious carvings and Thunderbird found in Tsurumi and the gadget is a way to interact with these open-world entities. If the gadget is equipped, whenever players encounter an interactable object the feather starts to glow, which makes it very easy to use.
- Thunderbird statues: Similar to Memento Lens, Peculiar Pinion is used to reveal secrets when inspecting the statues scattered around the island.
- Wall carvings: Using Peculiar Pinion on on bird wall carvings reveals hidden rooms.
After getting the gadget, one must use it to interact with the statue and talk with the illusion to find the location of the Maushiro. One must follow the instructions till he reaches the location of the puzzle at Wakukau Shoal. One must use the Peculiar Pinion on the Mysterious Carving to spawn an Electro Seelie and follow it until it spawns another Mysterious Carving.
One must use the Peculiar Pinion on the Mysterious Carving which will lead to an Ishine Script appearing on the cliff wall. One must head back to the location of the first thunderbird statue and hit the stones in the same order as the script on the wall (Left to Right).
Reach the next checkpoint at Oina Beach by teleporting to Autake Plains North waypoint. To solve the puzzle, move the stones till they stop in front of the tiles with the same script.
How to complete the Genshin Impact Octave of the Maushiro World quest
Now coming to the last part of the puzzle in the quest players need to reach Autake Plains by heading southwest from the teleport waypoint. The area is covered densely by fog and to avoid getting lost in the mist it is recommended to light up Stormstones that travelers encounter during their path.
Follow the Stormstone path until you see a Bird Statue and use the Peculiar Pinion to spawn illusions. After conversing with the Ruu use the Peculiar Pinion on the next Bird Statue which will spawn 3 seelies. The seelies will guide players to the missing pieces of Ishine Script.
After all 3 Autake Slates have been placed at their respective spots a pattern will appear on the wall behind the Bird Statue. Hit the stones in the same order as laid on the stone (Top to Bottom).
Return to the ceremonial site and talk with Sumida to mark the end of the quest.
