In this guide, we will show you how to start, complete, and get the most out of the Genshin Impact quest.

How to Start and Quest walkthrough

To start this quest, you need to finish another world quest called Limner, Dreamer, and Robotic Dog first. This quest will introduce you to Puca and her robotic dog Topyas, who live in the underwater Merusea Village in Fontaine. After finishing this quest, players can talk to Puca again at A Very Bright Place (underwater) to start the Strange Stone Chronicle Quest.

Genshin Impact Strange Stone Chronicle World Quest: Steps to complete

Part 1: Find Puca’s Token and Collect Strange Ores

The first part of this quest involves finding Puca’s token and collecting some Strange ores for a gem merchant named Chesil. Here are the steps to complete this part:

  • Talk to Puca at A Very Bright Place (underwater) and agree to help her find her token.
  • Follow the quest marker and enter a cave where you will encounter two Breacher Primus enemies. Defeat them and pick up Puca’s token from the ground.
  • Return to Puca at Merusea Village (underwater) and give her back her token. She will also tell you about the strange ore that you found along with her token.
  • Take the strange ore to Chesil, the gem merchant at the Court of Fontaine. He will ask you to bring him more of these ores for his research.
  • Go back to Puca at Merusea Village and ask her about the locations of the strange ores. She will mark three spots on your map where you can find them.
  • Teleport to A Very Bright Place (above water) and head to the marked locations. You will see some giant circular red stones that contain strange ores. To break them, you need to hit the nearby red crystals with your melee attacks and aim them towards the stones.
