C1: Whimsical Wonders
Having 2 Grin-Malkin Hats and gaining 1 extra Prop stack makes it easier to stack more and deal with more DMG.
C2: Loquacious Cajoling
Lyney gains extra CRIT DMG just by being on the field. Since he is an on-field main DPS, he will always have all stacks of this bonus.
C3: Prestidigitation
Additional three levels to his Normal Attack talent, this is the first time in the history of Genshin Impact. This constellation is pretty great since most of his DMG comes from his charged attacks which scale off this talent.
C4: Well-Versed, Well-Rehearsed
Reduces enemies’ Pyro RES when they are hit by Lyney’s charged shots. This constellation further increases his raw Pyro DMG.
C5: To Pierce Enigmas
The additional three levels to his burst are nice to have, but it is not the most important constellation since the majority of his DMG comes from his charged shots.
C6: Guarded Smile
Lyney’s charged shots fire additional arrows, which is a straight-up DMG increase.
Final Thoughts
Every single one of Lyney’s constellations contributes to increasing his personal raw Pyro DMG. C2, C3, and C4 are his best constellations. C1 and C6 are amazing, but not as effective. C5 is not that great since his burst does not make up for most of his DMG.
It needs to be emphasized that Lyney is already amazing at C0 and does not need constellations to be good. They are all really good DMG increases, but none of them are mandatory. C3 is a great stopping point.
