The Version 3.6 update of Honkai: Star Rail releases the much-anticipated 5-star character Evernight. Evernight is an Ice character following the Path of Remembrance. This Honkai: Star Rail Evernight Build Guide will help you get the most out of her abilities by offering a detailed breakdown of her skills and recommending the best configurations to optimize her performance.

Evernight Gameplay

So, Evernight is an Ice Remembrance support unit that mixes buffing and DPS with a very unique playstyle. Her main gimmick revolves around summoning her memosprite, Evey, who shares her HP pool and acts as both a damage source and a way to build Memoria stacks.

Her Skill consumes 10% of her HP to summon Evey without using Skill Points, while also granting a CRIT DMG buff to all memosprites based on her own stats. Ultimate summons Evey again, but also puts Evernight into Darkest Riddle, a special state that makes enemies take more damage, boosts her and Evey’s power, and gives strong CC immunity.

In this state, her Memoria generation skyrockets, letting her unleash massive damage through Evey’s special attack. The loop is all about cycling summons, gaining Memoria, and detonating it for explosive team value. Evey is the heart of Evernight’s kit. With high speed, CC immunity, and taunt-like aggro, Evey attacks alongside Evernight while fueling Memoria every time damage is taken.

At 16+ Memoria stacks, Evey can use a devastating AoE skill that scales with Evernight’s HP and wipes the field before disappearing. This not only deals incredible damage but also grants Evernight huge SPD buffs to keep her rotation flowing. Her traces further push the synergy, letting her convert HP loss into CRIT DMG, restore SP with big memosprite skills, and start battles with extra energy.

In short, Evernight provides strong teamwide buffs, vulnerability debuffs, and scaling burst damage, but mastering her requires careful timing of HP consumption, Memoria stacking, and managing when to let Evey disappear for maximum payoff.

Honkai Star Rail Evernight Best Relics and Planar Ornaments

When choosing relics for Evernight, it’s essential to focus on maximizing her damage and survivability capabilities. In this section of the Honkai: Star Rail Evernight Build Guide, we will discuss what relics, main stats, and planar ornaments you need to focus on for Evernight.

Relic Set

World-Remaking DelivererEvernight has a brand-new relic set in 3.6 designed specifically for her, and it’s easily her best-in-slot. It gives CRIT Rate +8%, then boosts both Evernight’s and Evey’s max HP whenever she uses a Basic or Skill while Evey is on the field.

On top of that, this relic also grants an all-ally DMG buff until her next Basic or Skill, making it extremely valuable in both support and DPS roles.
Scholar Lost in Erudition/Longevous DiscipleUntil you farm this set, you can run 2-piece combinations like HP% or DMG% sets to patch her stats.

Planar Ornaments

Arcadia of Woven DreamsArcadia becomes better if you’re running Evernight as a main carry.

Honkai Star Rail Evernight Best Light Cone

Evernight is a bit tricky when it comes to free-to-play (F2P) options because most of the 4-Stars and 3-Stars Light Cones don’t work well with her kit. Unlike some other DPS characters, she doesn’t have a great F2P alternative, so pulling for her signature Light Cone is highly recommended if you want her to perform at her best.

To Evernight’s Stars (Evernight 5* Light Cone)Evernight’s signature Light Cone is absolutely her best option, and unfortunately, there’s no real budget substitute. It gives her a huge max HP buff and then grants a passive effect called Noctis whenever her memosprite acts.

This triggers a powerful 20% DEF Ignore for all memosprites, making it not just a self-boost but a teamwide amplification in comps built around them. On top of that, it provides extra DMG for both Evernight and Evey, as well as energy restoration whenever Evey disappears.

All of these effects directly address her biggest needs: energy sustain, damage scaling, and team buffing, making the cone nearly mandatory if you want to optimize her.
Make Farewells More Beautiful (5*)The only real competitor is Castorice’s signature Light Cone, and that’s only when you’re running Evernight as a main DPS.

In that setup, Castorice’s cone can sometimes edge out by giving strong personal uptime through forward advances, though you lose out on the DEF Ignore synergy, which massively helps allies like Hyacine.

Best Team Comps for Evernight in Honkai Star Rail

Castorice Team Comp

Evernight’s best team core is with Castorice and Hyacine, and this is where she truly shines. Castorice benefits immensely from Evernight’s constant HP draining, both from her own kit and from Evey disappearing after big Memoria bursts.

Every chunk of lost HP fuels Castorice’s passive charging, making their synergy almost tailor-made. Add Hyacine to the mix, and things get even amazing. Her Little Ica heals every small HP drain, stacking massive Newbud charge while simultaneously keeping the team healthy.

On top of this, Evernight’s Darkest Riddle buffs provide harmony-level team amplification, including 30% vulnerability, over 100% CRIT DMG for memosprites, and even 20% DEF Ignore with her signature cone. Hyacinthe in particular loves this, since she normally doesn’t scale as hard into CRIT DMG, and Evernight supercharges her output.

Evernight Hyper-carry

Outside of that, Remembrance MC is a phenomenal partner for Evernight. Not only does Mem supply extra turns, True DMG uptime, and heavy energy for the team, but the off-turn advance can be abused to sneak in extra Evernight skills during Darkest Riddle, leading to absurd Memoria stacking and more Dream Dissolving nukes than intended.

This makes RMC arguably her strongest enabler in both solo-carry and dual-carry setups. A typical Evernight solo-carry team would be Evernight, RMC, Tribbie (or replacements like Cipher, Ruan Mei, Silver Wolf), and Hyacine for sustain and more Memoria generation.

Is Evernight worth pulling in HSR

So is Evernight worth pulling? I’d say yes, but with some exceptions. She is an exceptional unit if you already run or plan to run Castorice, since together they form one of the strongest and most synergistic teams in the game right now. Her buffs are incredibly powerful, her damage is nothing to scoff at, even as a sub DPS, and she can replace units like Tribbie to free them up for other teams.

On top of that, her vertical investment pays off really well, meaning that even without Castorice, a fully built Evernight can stand on her own as a main DPS and keep pace with or even surpass solo Castorice in the right setups. That said, she’s not a universal pick. Unlike Anaxa, who could flex into a variety of teams, Evernight is very tied to memosprite-focused comps and doesn’t synergize well with units like Aglaea.

If you don’t care about Castorice or Hyacine, her value drops since her buffs are heavily tailored to that archetype. But if you’re invested in Castorice or want a unique HP-scaling DPS that can double as a premier support, then Evernight is absolutely worth pulling. She’s niche, but she dominates within that niche.
