The Version 1.2 of Honkai Star Rail has been released, bringing a series of consecutive events for players to take on. The first half is now live, featuring the Blade Banner. Additionally, the much-awaited Honkai: Star Rail Tales of Fantastic Event is now available, creating a lot of excitement among players who are eager to participate and earn its rewarding prizes.
Honkai: Star Rail Tales of Fantastic requirements and dates
To participate in the Honkai Star Tales of Fantastic event, players must first complete all prerequisite quests to unlock the new area, Xianzhou Luofu. They need to finish the Trailblaze Mission called Xianzhou Luofu — A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant.
This event offers daily challenges at various difficulty levels, providing players with rewards from 2023/07/21 12:00:00 (server time) to 2023/08/07 03:59:00 (server time). With a two-week duration, players have plenty of time to complete all the events and maximize their rewards.
Honkai: Star Rail Tales of Fantastic Location
The Tales of Fantastic event takes place in the Xianzhou Luofu region, situated under the Central Starkiff Haven. Players can find it on the left side of the map and access it through the NPC named Mr. Xiyan.
How to do the Honkai: Star Rail Tales of Fantastic event
There are two parts of the event in Tales of Fantastic, this is the Hero’s Journey and the Legends’ Past and Present. During the event, a new Hero’s Journey will be unlocked every day, totaling three journeys. Upon completing each Journey, players will unlock “Legends Past and Present” combat challenges. By successfully completing the Hero’s Journey, players will receive a Protagonist Model that gradually enhances their abilities. These improved abilities play a significant role in enhancing the overall experience in “Legends Past and Present.”
The Protagonist Model allows players to utilize various Plot Armor combinations that can be freely adjusted and will have active effects during the “Legends Past and Present” battles. Creating an effective combination of Plot Armor in the Protagonist Model will result in higher combat scores. In “Legends Past and Present” combat, enemies will appear continuously for a limited number of rounds, and players will earn points by dealing damage to and defeating them.
At the end of each battle, the highest score achieved in the current challenge will be updated, encouraging players to strive for better results. Additionally, players can use Trial Characters in “Legends Past and Present,” and as they raise the Equilibrium Level, both enemy and trial character levels in the event will also increase.
1. Hero’s Journey
In the “Hero’s Journey,” players will embark on an adventure alongside Mr. Xiyan to explore various captivating locations within Xianzhou. This immersive experience will lead them to reminisce about past stories and their glorious victories over formidable foes, all with the aim of crafting an extraordinary and enchanting tale.
Throughout this thrilling quest, players will have the opportunity to control a remote Cycrane, a unique companion, which will become useful during the event. To progress through the journey and its three chapters, players will need to obtain specific items and complete various challenging objectives. The tasks will require strategic thinking, skillful execution, and a keen eye for detail.
2. Legends Past and Present
In the diverse Legends Past and Present stages, Trailblazers have the opportunity to utilize the ‘Plot Armors’ they obtain from the “Hero’s Journey” to gain powerful buffs. Each Plot Armor comes with its unique attributes and enhancements, allowing players to tailor their strategies according to their preferred playstyle. By equipping these Plot Armors strategically, Trailblazers can significantly boost their combat capabilities and face the challenges ahead with confidence.
As Trailblazers venture into the intense battles of Legends Past and Present, they will encounter relentless waves of enemies that progressively increase in difficulty. To emerge victorious, players must showcase their combat prowess and tactical prowess to overcome each wave and survive the fierce encounters. By dealing damage to and defeating enemies, players earn valuable points, which contribute to the accumulation of rewards.
Protagonist Model
The Protagonist Model in the Legends Past and Future stages offers a dynamic and flexible system of Plot Armor combinations. Players have the freedom to adjust and customize these combinations according to their preferences and strategies. Each Plot Armor comes with its unique attributes and effects, which can significantly impact the team’s performance during the Legends Past and Present battles.
Strategically selecting and optimizing the Plot Armor combinations can lead to higher combat scores in the event. A well-thought-out combination can provide essential boosts to various aspects of the team’s performance, such as increased damage output, improved survivability, enhanced elemental effects, and more.
The Stages or also known as Scenes in the Legends Past and Present have trial characters for every part. These can be used by players to gain an advantage on a certain stage to be challenged. The list of the stages, characters, and buffs are the following:

Scene 1 and Scene 4 Tips
AoE abilities prove highly effective in this scenario, making it advantageous to have three characters with such skills on the team. As for the last spot, it is recommended to assign a Hunt character to deal with Trotter before they escape. The team composition doesn’t include a dedicated healer or shielder, as the Bona-Aqua buff in the Protagonist Model can handle healing duties.
Although it may not be substantial, it provides enough survivability for the team, especially since most characters are quite fragile. However, there is a slight risk if the enemies relentlessly target the same character, potentially causing challenges.
Scene 2 and 5 Tips
Avoid bringing a Preservation character with taunting abilities to the team. The goal is to draw as many enemy attacks as possible towards Blade to trigger his Talent. Shielders like Gepard or Fire MC may divert enemy attention away from Blade, so it’s best not to include them. Including a Hunt character in the team is highly recommended to focus solely on defeating the Trotter.
The buff provided by the Hunt character is significant, as it fully regenerates Energy for all allies once the Trotter is defeated. To benefit from this advantage, make sure to manually aim at the Trotter whenever it’s the Hunt character’s turn and eliminate it first, allowing the team to gain free Ultimates for a powerful advantage in battle.
Scene 3 and 6 Tips
In these DoT-focused stages, players should prioritize maximizing characters that excel in dealing with Damage over Time effects (DoT). To ensure a well-rounded team, it is advisable to bring at least one character for each element, with a particular focus on Bleed, Wind Shear, Shock, and Burn, as these elements are consistently effective in applying DoT to enemies.
Having a diverse range of elements within the team ensures that players can exploit different enemy weaknesses and resistances effectively, increasing their chances of success in these DoT-focused stages. Properly maximizing each character’s DoT potential and coordinating their abilities strategically can lead to devastating and continuous damage to enemies, providing a significant advantage in battle.
Honkai: Star Rail Tales of Fantastic Rewards
The Tales of Fantastic event in Honkai Star Rail offers players the opportunity to earn plentiful rewards. By successfully completing event challenges and meeting the required points and stages, players can enjoy generous benefits.
