Once again, HoYoverse released the Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1 banners, featuring one newly released character and two re-run characters in Ashveil, Hyacine, and Boothill.
I will assess each character’s strengths and qualities in the future meta of the game and advise you on which character to pull from the 3 playable characters. Version 4.1 banners will go live on the 25th March, 2026, and will last until the 21st April, 2026.
Who should you pull for in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1 Banners
Version 4.1 Phase one banner will go live on the 25th March, 2026, and will last until the 8th April, 2026, with Ashveil and Hyacine. Phase two banner with Boothill will go live on the 8th April, 2026, and will last until the 21st April, 2026. Each character brings unique strengths to the table, but some offer more immediate and long-term value than others. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide.
1. Ashveil
Ashveil is a new 5-Star Lightning Hunt character in Honkai: Star Rail. He can reduce the target enemies’ defence, generate skill points, and deal damage with follow-up attacks. His Skill applies Bait and deals Lightning damage, reducing all enemies’ DEF when the opponent affected by bait is on the field. Furthermore, if the same target is already affected by bait, his skills refund a Skill Point.
His Ultimate re-marks the enemy, deals more damage, provides extra Charges, and triggers multiple enhanced follow-up attacks. When he’s on the field, allies’ follow-up attack damage and CRIT DMG increase. If you are planning to pull Ashveil, read our Ashveil Pre-Farm Guide beforehand.
2. Hyacine
Hyacine is a 5* Wind and Remembrance character in Honkai: Star Rail. She is a fast-paced Wind Remembrance sustainer who brings a unique twist to healing through her memosprite, Little Ica. Little Ica heals allies by sacrificing its own HP and scales damage off the total healing done. She can heal and deal damage both at the same time.
Her “After Rain” state boosts team max HP and allows Little Ica to attack, stacking healing-based damage potential.
3. Boothill
Boothill is a 5* Physical character following the Path of Hunt. He is a high-speed single-target DPS with unique mechanics that allow him to ignore enemy weaknesses and gain extra turns, making him an unpredictable and deadly force in battle. Boothill has self-speed boosts and Turn Advance mechanics, allowing him to chain attacks quickly.
With his technique, he can bypass enemy Weakness types and can remove Crowd Control debuffs from himself.
Final Thoughts
These three characters have different roles in teams. Boothill is a DPS, Hyacine is a Sub DPS and Healer, Ashveil is a Sub DPS and can be used as DPS too. In my opinion, pulling Ashveil or Hyacine is the best choice for your account. In 4.2, we will get another Physical DPS in HSR, so I will not recommend pulling Boothill now.
On the other hand, Ashveil is a great choice if you have a team that can deal damage with follow-up attacks, and you can use him as the main DPS too. Hyacine can provide extra damage and can heal your team too, so she is a beneficial character.
