I will assess each character’s strengths and qualities in the future meta of the game and advise you on which character to pull from the 4 playable characters. Banners will go live on the  22nd of April, 2026and will last until the 2nd of June, 2026.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 Phase 1 Banners

Phase 1 banner will go live on the 22nd of April, 2026and will last until the 12th of May, 2026. Phase 1 banner will feature Silver Wolf Lv 999, The Dahlia, Castorice, and Firefly. Each character brings unique strengths to the table, but some offer more immediate and long-term value than others. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide.

1. Silver Wolf Lv 999

Silver Wolf Lv 999 is a new 5-Star Imaginary Elation DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail. She is an Elation DPS character who enhances her abilities with Ultimate, dealing high AoE damage to enemies.

Her kit revolves around Gain Punchline stacks and converts them into Hidden MMR points. When MMR reaches the requirement, use her ultimate, she enters Godmode Player state and spam her enhanced basic attacks for massive damage.

She increased her own Crit Rate and Crit Damage with her Hidden MMR points. If you are planning to pull Silver Wolf Lv 999, read our Silver Wolf Lv 999 Pre-Farm Guide. She deals very good damage, but because of her Hidden MMR points, you need some time to use her ultimate.

2. Dahlia

Dahlia is a 5-Star Fire Remembrance unit. She provides team-wide Break Effect amplification and deals follow-up attack damage, and she allows Fire Break teams to deal damage consistently without waiting for the enemy’s Toughness bar to deplete.

Her kit revolves around deploying a zone that increases allies’ Weakness Break Efficiency by 50%, and enemy targets will take Super Break Damage even when they are not Weakness Broken. With her ultimate, she reduces enemy defence by 18%.

3. Castorice

Castorice is a 5-Star Quantum Remembrance DPS unit, and she’s all about summoning her awesome dragon buddy, Netherwing, to wreck enemies. She relies on allies’ HP loss to get Newbud points. Every point of HP lost by your team gives 1 Newbud point, but only up to 12% of the max HP per ally. After reaching a certain threshold, she summons her buddy.

She consumes allies’ 30 to 40% HP to increase her summoned Netherwing’s damage and heal her summon. She also heals the whole team when her summoned dragon buddy‘s HP hits 1.

With her Ultimate, she creates a Domain where every enemy’s elemental resistance is reduced by 20%, which increases her summons damage. She deals very good damage, but for her HP-consuming kit, you always have to use her with a good healer.

4. Firefly

Firefly is a 5-Star Fire Destruction DPS unit. Her kit revolves around a “dual-form” mechanic where she sacrifices HP to enter a high-speed, enhanced state focused on Break DMG and Super Break DMG. She advances her action by consuming her HP, and increases her damage reduction when she consumes HP.

Who is worth pulling in Phase 1

This banner features 3 DPS characters and one support character. Dahlia is an excellent support for Break teams, but she is not a universal support. If you want any specific reaction support, then skip this banner. Firefly, Silverwolf Lv 999, and Castorice are DPS. At this moment, Silverwolf lv 999 is the best option if you want an Elation DPS. Firefly needs The Dahlia as a support, and Castorice heavily relies on healing.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 Phase 2 Banners

Phase 2 banner will go live on the 12th of May, 2026and will last until the 2nd of June, 2026.

1. Evanesca

Evanescia is a new 5-Star Physical Elation character in Honkai: Star Rail. She is an Elation DPS character who deals physical damage and provides support by reducing enemies’ DEF. Her kit revolves around converting Energy and Certified Banger into each other, then unleashing repeated enhanced damage and frequent ultimates.

She’s designed to get stronger the longer the fight lasts. If you are planning to pull Evanescia, read our Evanescia Pre-Farm Guide.

2. Tribble

Tribbie is a 5-Star Quantum Harmony damage dealer with strong support capabilities, specializing in AoE attacks and follow-up damage. Her kit revolves around boosting allies’ offensive power while steadily ramping up their damage output. She increases allies’ Resistance Penetration and increases the damage taken by all enemies by 15%. She also deals damage with follow-up attacks.

3. Sunday

Sunday is a 5-Star Imaginary Harmony character in Honkai: Star Rail. He is a Support unit that increases crit dmg, crit rate, and dmg dealt, and manages skill point economy, making him indispensable for teams that rely on high-damage rotations or summon mechanics.

4. Feixiao

Feixiao is a 5-Star Wind Hunt character in Honkai: Star Rail. She is a powerful single-target DPS character who excels in delivering consistent and high burst damage through her skills. Her abilities, like Boltsunder and Waraxe, focus on maximizing damage against a single enemy, with impressive weakness break values that allow her to chip away at an opponent’s defenses quickly.

Who is worth pulling in Phase 2

If you want a support character, then go for Sunday, but if you want support and some damage, then go for Tribble. Between Feixiao and Evenescia, pulling Evenescia is a better option right now; she can deal damage to all enemies at once. But if you need a single target DPS who deals serious damage, Feixiao is better for your account.
