Lords Mobile: Army Building Guide with Tips

Be ready to dominate demons

Troops are critical to your success in attacking and defending against your opponents. In Lords Mobile, a well-trained army will ensure your victory. However, for beginners, troop building and management may appear to be a somewhat “complex” task due to the different tiers of troops. Do not be concerned, as we are here to guide you and demonstrate how to select troops and build them to dominate the arena. This guide will help you in understanding everything you need to know about army building in Lords Mobile.

Guide to understand Army Building in Lords Mobile

Lords Mobile is made up of four distinct troops. Infantry, Ranged, Cavalry, and Sieged formations. Additionally, each troop has four different tiers. The weakest troops in the game are Gladiator, Sharpshooter, Reptilian Rider, and Catapult. On the other side, players should try to get Heroic fighter, Cannoneer, Ancient Drake Rider, and Destroyer as soon as possible. They do, however, require considerable effort to achieve because they are the last to be unlocked and there are numerous requirements, such as research, for them to be unlocked.

In the game, barracks are used to train troops. Above all, players should know that having more barracks does not imply that they will be able to train multiple troops. It merely increases the number of troops that can be trained at one time. Yup, it is what it is!

What troops to train in Lords Mobile

Mastering the art of going to war in Lords Mobile is a piece of cake, to be honest. Executing an effective plan, on the other hand, is a little bit difficult! Moreover, the choice of troops to train depends on you. Here are some of the most popular troops to train for different purposes:

Best troops for defensive needs

When it comes to defense, it is preferable to build a balanced army. Again, no single troop type is optimal for defense. Your objective should be to create an army comprised of a variety of troops. Spending resources on Siege troops, on the other hand, is a waste of resources due to their weakness against all other troop types. Your defending army should be evenly distributed between Infantry, Ranged, and Cavalry troops. Additionally, players must analyze the upcoming battle and build their army accordingly.

Best troops for attack

There is no single troop type that excels in all areas. You have the option of forming a balanced army (which includes all troop types) or a focused army as the attacker (that contains a single troop type). As a general rule, the best option is to form a focused army. Because the defending army will always be balanced, this is the case. Each side will have a counterpart in their armies if you set up a balanced army.

Battle Boosts improve your troops’ stats (health, attack, and defense), and using them on a single unit provides more benefits than using them on a balanced army. It makes no difference which troop type you use to attack. You gain an advantage if you choose only one type and use the Battle Bonus. To summarise, you should always scout your opponent first and determine which troop types he uses. If possible, apply battle boost as well.

If a begineer, focus on one troop

At a low level and for people who play with a team, focusing on one troop is extremely beneficial. What is the reason for this? It is easier for a team to defeat a large target by using a counter (Cavalry first, 2nd ranged, 3rd Infantry). It’s not worth it to do this with a high might because you’ll be easily countered and won’t be able to send the right troops in a Rally. Also, if you play Lords Mobile very less go with 2 types.

This is our favorite because it’s more difficult to counter and allows you to get the best attack and defense stats from the Hero. (For f2p, the number of attack OR defense heroes on one type of troop is limited.) Many advanced players recommend a mix of Cavalry and Ranged for this one, but any option is viable – some are better than others.

Strategies to attack wisely in Lords Mobile

Sync attack

This strategy involves timing your attack to coincide with the return of enemy troops – just 1 or 2 seconds later – to avoid shielding or sheltering. To make the most of this, We recommend using an alternative account to keep an eye on the enemy troops while your main account prepares for the attack. This will assist you in carrying out a successful attack. Moreover, to slow down an attack, use a Siege Troops unit.

Trap account

To begin, you’ll need someone with good research and gear, as well as a reinforcement capacity of 1,000,000 or a high Might player with T4 who is garrisoning. All you have to do now is fill his reinforcements, use an anti-scout, and wait for someone to attack you.

Attack Back-Stab

This strategy needs waiting and patience until the enemy attacks before counter-attacking while his troops are split. It’s used to defeat opponents with higher might than you, and it works best against opponents with 25 to 45m Might or a large number of troops. Don’t forget to take care of the remaining troops in the shelter, or you’ll be stabbed in the back as well.

Don’t let your troops lost in the mid

When you attack, send 10-15k T1 troops to absorb the dead troops, so you lose no T3 (or only a few) instead of a large number of dead troops. Alert! If you are attacked, your T1 troops can deplete your infirmary slots, causing your higher-level troops to perish (most commonly if you get zeroed in repeated hits)

Multi Rally

When it comes to Rallies, the best way to succeed is to confuse the enemy by performing 5 Rallies on 5 different players from the same Guild at the same time (of which 4 of them are fake Rallies). To make the four fake rallies appear realistic, you only need to send one troop to each. Because they don’t know what’s going on and can’t tell which one is the real Rally, it will be more difficult for the enemy to reinforce their teammates. All the players should remember that you can always see your attacking troops from your watchtower, which can help you determine whether you will win or lose your defense and identify which rallies are fake.

Protect your troops from attack

There are two ways to protect your troop in Lords Mobile. The first option is to use a shield, but being shielded 24 hours a day, seven days a week can be quite costly. To protect your troop for free, you must shelter them, and if you have more troops than your shelter capacity, you must stage an 8-hour fake rally on someone who is really far far away from you (400m is the farthest for many). Normally, you will be protected for 8 to 10 hours, depending on the speed of your troop, so make sure to return before they do. (You cannot attack a troop in your own rally.)

Lords Mobile Army Building Guide: Tips and Tricks

Tips for building troops effectively and efficiently
Lords Mobile Army Building Guide: Battle in Lords Mobile
  1. In the game, most of the time Infantry outstands Ranged troops
  2. Similarly, Cavalry is strong against Infantry, and Ranged troops can beat Cavalry.
  3. It is recommended to train Infantry, Cavalry and Ranged troops evenly instead of focussing on only one troop type.
  4. When preparing to launch an attack, never use auto select for your heroes. Learn about each of your heroes’ war buffs and make an informed choice.
  5. Attack from as close as possible to your target. Make use of “Relocators” to get closer.
  6. Always scout first to get a sense of your opponent’s strength before launching an attack.
  7. Paid heroes are sometimes better than free one’s. Grab some if you have enough cents to have an edge over others.
  8. Make sure you have enough Infirmaries and try to max out all of them asap. Also, boost up your Manor as it’ll provide you a 20% boost.
  9. Always make sure that you complete the Researches such as Training speed, Military, Army Leadership etc.
  10. If you’re just getting started, you should have 4-5 Manors because they speed up training, which is important when you don’t have a lot of troops.

Final Thoughts

Overall the game does offer a variety of troops to choose from. But it depends upon the players how they build an effective army. It is highly recommended for beginners that they should try each troop and hero in the early stages of the game. In this way, they will be able to form the right strategy to take down enemies at a low cost. Also, avoid filling up your barracks with the same type of troops every time.

Once you get a proper command over different troops, you can easily take a toll on your opponents. Moreover, it’s a must-try mobile game for all MMORPG fans, thanks to its cool graphics, animations, as well as its various modes. If you get stuck somewhere, you can always refer to our Lords Mobile Army Building guide to help you outshine the attacks most of the time.
