Mobile Legends February 2020 Tier List

Hello once again to our updated Mobile Legends Tier List for February 2020. Now that the huge Map changes have settled (GG, Red Buff), we find ourself within a heavily Marksman favoured meta. At the same time, the release of Carmilla brings a breath of fresh air to the Support role and wombo-comps.

So without further ado, let’s get straight into our ranking. For a more detailed breakdown of the meta though, make sure to scroll down to our analysis section!

Marksman Kingdom

We already saw the same phenomenon in our January 2020 Tier List: Ever since Moonton brought back Red Buff, the Marksman class undoubtedly rules the Mobile Legends Battlefield. By now it’s common practice again to play 1-2-2 rather than 1-3-1. Either Tank or Support will guard the Marksman and help to take Red as early as level 1. Having a well farmed (or even better, fed) Marksman is the #1 win condition right now. A ton of True Damage and a crippling slow on-top helps them to come online much faster, while the additional jungle creeps also allow them to farm up more quickly.

In higher elos however, you’ll regularly find all 3 top-tier Marksmen banned – for good reason. While facing a fed Marksman is unfun, a fed Granger, Bruno or Wanwan is nearly impossible to deal with. Red Buff arguably isn’t overtuned at all…

The Bane of Fighters and Mages

No room for Mages

There always has to be a loser. In this meta, this means pretty much all classes take a big hit. Red Buff not only allows its carrier to burst squishies but the True Damage also makes shredding through Tanks easy as pie, even if your name is not Karrie.

Mages still have to digest the Blue Buff nerfs while competing with Assassins (and awful teammates) to actually secure it. They also struggle to duel Marksman because of, who could have guessed, Red Buff. Especially when paired with a decent peeler such as Diggie or Khufra, it requires 3 or even 4 teammates to successfully take down the likes of Wanwan or Granger.

The only one to spread her wings, literally, is Pharsa. Due to her insane burst potential from 2 screens away, she just deletes everyone no matter their class. At the same time, she brings a good amount of utility, unmatched roaming potential and safety.

No Fun for Fighters

Since Marksmen tend to go bottom side to secure Red Buff early on, this leaves Fighters to take top. At the same time, they’re also pretty much guaranteed to lane 1v2 due to the common 1-2-2 setup. So the chances of carrying early are, well, abysmal at best. Red Buff makes sure you don’t get to pop off while a Tank/Support makes sure you’re not even looking at their Marksman.

Therefore, fighters with long-ranged abilities such as X-Borg have a much easier time getting through laning phase without too much issue. Nonetheless, the meta definitely doesn’t make the role enjoyable. You do rely on either abandoning lane and making plays across the map or on your teammates to make the right decisions and focus on shutting down the enemy Marksman.

CC wins games: Carmilla’s blessing

The latest Hero Carmilla brings a bunch of new possibilities to the Battlefield. Not only does she bring great sustainability and mobility but a huge amount of Crowd Control. Especially her ultimate makes her a great Hero to pair with both burst and chain-CC.

Even though as a melee character she does suffer from getting kited, CC is one of the most effective ways to shut down even the most fed enemy, given you banned Wanwan. Similarly, Heroes like Khufra and Kaja remain invaluable due to their immense utility. After all, CC remains the most effective cure against fed enemies. Because all it takes is one slight misstep and you easily delete squishies, no matter how fed they might be.

Disclaimer: Last but not least, note that Tier Lists are always a highly subjective topic and you might have a different view on the strength of certain Heroes. Also, the efficiency of Heroes can fluctuate depending on Rank. Similarly, our Mobile Legends Tier List for February 2020 doesn’t focus on competitive or 5-man setups, but mainly SoloQ.

So, which Heroes are you spamming to rank up? Who do you think deserves nerfs or is it just the Red Buff that messes things up? Make sure to tell us in the comment section below. Also, don’t forget to stop by at our Facebook page for more guides and news!

Tbh, this is more likely on a lower mythic division. If you have seen the global assassins player, you’ll see that they let their enemy to secure Granger/Bruno/Kimmy/WanWan; while there’s no mm on their team at all (sometimes there’s also no mages on their team). Reasons for that is assassins like Fanny, Gusion, Ling and Selena can surely kill overpowered mm in a mere of seconds, despite being protected by their tanks. Please check out kambingtips on instagram before doing tier list.
