Empoleon is a Tier 3 Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. It will be available to fight against during the Sinnoh Tour and it is one of the events which is a part of the Raid Battles schedule for February 2024 in Pokémon Go. Empoleon is a penguin-like Pokémon with orange webbed feet which looks similar to a duck. It is a decent opponent to fight against and if you will use the right counters recommended by me, you’ll be good to go. So in this Pokémon Go guide, we are going to talk about the best ways and counters using which you’ll be able to defeat Empoleon in the easiest way possible.
Empoleon in Pokémon Go
Empoleon is a dual-type Water and Steel Pokémon with a CP of 1581 to 1657 when there are no weather boosts. It is vulnerable to Electric, Fighting, and Ground-type attacks. If you are an experienced player and also have the right counters along with yourself, you will be able to fight against Empoleon all by yourself. If you are a low-level player or don’t have the ideal counters, you should bring one or two trainers along with you into the battle.
Empoleon Moveset
The best moves from the moveset of Empoleon are Metal Claw and Hydro Cannon. Both of them have a combined DPS of 70.5. They are also the best combination of moves that you can use against Empoleon in both Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. Other attacks that I’ve found to be useful from Empoleon’s moveset are Waterfall, Hydro Pump, Flash Cannon, Ice Beam, Blizzard, and Drill Peck.
