Salamence is a Tier 3 Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. It is a red and blue dragon-like Pokémon that has red wings along with red eyebrows. It also has large blue ears and a pair of red wings which have grown because of a sudden mutation. In my opinion, you won’t have to worry about against Salamence as long as you are using the right counters. So in this Pokémon Go guide, we are going to talk about the best ways and counters that I think will help you fight against Salamence easily.
Salamence in Pokémon Go
Salamence is a dual-type Dragon and Flying Pokémon with a maximum CP of 4239 at level 50. It is vulnerable to Ice, Dragon, Fairy, and Rock-type attacks and I’ve discovered while fighting against it that it also has a 2x weakness towards Ice-type attacks.
If you are a high-level player, you’ll easily be able to fight against Salamence with the right set of counters. But if you are a low-level player or don’t have ideal counters, I’ll recommend you to go into battle with two to three trainers in your team.
Salamence Moveset

The best moves that I think you can use from the moveset of Salamence are Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor. Both of them have a combined DPS of 66.4 and it is also the best combination of moves that you can use in both Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. If you are looking for other good options from the movepool of Salamence, you can use Bite, Fire Fang, Outrage, Hydro Pump, and Fire Blast.
