Pokémon Go Shadow Entei Raid: Best Moveset, Counters, and Tips

Guide for the best counters against Shadow Entei during Battle Raids!

Shadow Entei is a Tier 5 Shadow Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. Shadow Raids allow you to fight against Shadow Pokémon and also give you a chance to capture them. It is a lion-like Pokémon covered in brown fur and white claws with retractable claws and brown paw pads. It is already tough enough to fight against Entei as it is a legendary Pokémon. Now in its shadow form, it is even tougher which is why in this Pokémon Go guide, we are going to talk about the best ways and counters using which you’ll be able to fight against Shadow Entei in the best way possible.

Shadow Entei in Pokémon Go

Shadow Entei is a pure Fire-type Pokémon with a maximum CP of 3946 at level 50. It is vulnerable mainly to Ground, Rock, and Water-type attacks. You’ll have to carry Shadow Shards and Purified Gems along with yourself into the battle nevertheless as without them you’ll stand no chance against Shadow Entei.

The best moves from the moveset of Shadow Entei are Fire Fang and Overheat. Both of them have a combined DPS of 64. It is also the best combination of moves that can be used in both Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. Other good moves that I’ve discovered in the movepool of Shadow Entei are Fire Spin, Flamethrower, Iron Head, Flame Charge, Fire Blast, and Scorching Sands.

It would help if you tried to use your best Mega Pokémon of the types mentioned above against Shadow Entei. But if they are not sufficient enough or you don’t exactly have attacks from those Pokémon types, you can choose other options such as Bug, Fairy, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Steel type counters. They take reduced damage when compared to the other counter types but they can still help you out.
