Pokémon Go Shadow Wobbuffet Raid: Best Moveset, Counters, and Tips

Guide for the best counters against Shadow Wobbuffet during Battle Raids!

Shadow Wobbuffet is a Tier 3 Shadow Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. Shadow Raids allow you to fight against Shadow Pokémon and also give you a chance to capture them. It is a tall blob-like creature that is blue and has a black tail that has two eyes on it. You will need to be completely prepared with the right counters if you plan to go against Shadow Wobbuffet as it is a Shadow Raid Boss which means even though it will be a Tier 3 Raid, it will be a lot more difficult than how it is normally. So in this Pokémon Go guide, we are going to talk about the best ways and counters that I think you should use against Shadow Wobbuffet in a fight.

Shadow Wobbuffet in Pokémon Go

Shadow Wobbuffet is a Psychic-type Pokémon with a maximum CP of 1160 at level 50. It is weak towards Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type counters. While going into a fight against any Shadow Pokémon, you should be carrying Shadow Shards and Purified Gems along with yourself into the battle. This stands true for Shadow Wobbuffet too as without them you’ll not have any chance of winning. If you are a low-level player or don’t have the ideal counters, I’ll recommend you to not go into this battle alone.

The best moves that I’ve found to be useful from the moveset of Shadow Wobbuffet are Counter and Return. Both of them have a combined DPS of 63.3. It is also the best combination of moves that can be used in Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. Other good options from its movepool include Splash, Charm, and Mirror Coat.

Apart from the counter type mentioned above, you can also use Fighting and Psychic-type attacks against Shadow Wobbuffet. They will have reduced damage against it but these counters will still be useful. Also to increase your chances of winning, I recommend you try to fight in Rainy and Fog weather as they will boost your counters even further.
