Pokémon Go Stakataka Raid: Best Moveset, Counters, and Tips

Guide for the best counters against Stakataka during Battle Raids!

Stakataka is an Ultra Beast Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. It appears to be made up of stones stacked over one another. Each stone is said to be a life form that acts like a cell in the body of this Pokémon. As it is an Ultra Beast Raid Boss, it will be quite a challenge to defeat it so you will need to be thoroughly prepared against it. So in this Pokémon Go guide, we are going to talk about the best ways and counters using which you’ll have the best chances against Stakataka.

Stakataka in Pokémon Go

Stakataka is a dual-type Steel and Rock Pokémon with a maximum CP of 3242 at level 50. It is weak towards Water, Ground, and Fighting-type attacks with a 2x weakness towards Ground and Fighting type counters. Even with the right counters, it won’t be possible for you to defeat Stakataka all by yourself. So I’ll recommend you to go in groups of three to five players even if you have the best counters. You should bring even more players along with you if you don’t have optimal counters.

The best moves from the movepool of Stakataka are Rock Throw as a fast move and Stone Edge as a charge move. They are also the best combination of moves that you can use in both Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. Other decent moves that I’ve found to be useful from the moveset of Stakataka are Take Down, Flash Cannon, and Bulldozer.
