In this beginners guide, we will go over everything you should and shouldn’t do when you first start Ragnarok Arena – Monster SRPG. As well as all the tricks and techniques that will make the gameplay process easier for you.

Gameplay Overview

When players first start playing Ragnarok Arena – Monster SRPG, it would be normal to be taken aback by all that happens especially the depth of the new game. The only comparable game that comes to mind is Raid: Shadow Legends, which is significantly different from other games.

Introducing the Basics of Ragnarok Arena

Unlike most games with the Mortal Kombat moniker, Ragnarok Arena takes the series to dip its toes in the Gacha arena RPG genre that has skyrocketed to success recently with notable titles such as Genshin Impact, Marvel Snap, and Raid: Shadow Legends. Although in the same genre, Ragnarok Arena is close to gameplay to titles such as Mortal Kombat: Onslaught and Raid: Shadow Legends.

The main objective is to use characters to fight for you and defeat enemies on increasingly difficult levels. To advance in the game, you must collect stronger characters, acquire good gear, and level up or upgrade said characters in order to be successful on harder levels.

In Ragnarok Arena, the players will be able to place up to five characters or monsters in the battle in order to fight against enemies. There are certain affinities of characters in the game. The most important part to take in mind with these characters is whether or not you would want them to be placed in the front line where the enemies will be attacking them first or the backlines where they can be safe in the protection of their teammates that are on the front lines.

Usually, it would just be easy to just place ranged characters in the backlines and the melee characters in the front line. Although this may work there are certain exceptions to the rule, especially considering there are only five characters to choose from the six overall places you can pick.

Mastering the Jobs or Classes

You can unlock the job selection function after successfully obtaining a particular player level in the game by spending some time on it. You can select one of six primary jobs, and you can later move along the career path you chose. Here is the list of the six primary job classes and what they do.

Ragnarok Arena – Monster SRPG Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

Here are some additional tips from our beginners guide in order to completely dominate enemies in Ragnarok Arena – Monster SRPG:

1. Focus on building a Whole Team mildly and the Main Character mostly

In Ragnarok Arena, it is not enough to just level a single character to progress quickly into the dungeons. The upgrade cost greatly increases so it is much more worthwhile to level your other SS characters alongside the main character that you will be using as having only the main character will only hinder your progress.

2. Complete your Daily Quests

Daily quests in the early game are the most abundant single source of upgrade materials that players can obtain without having to pay to win. Even just the login collection will provide you with materials that you will require to progress further in the game.

3. Upgrade your main character’s equipment

The main character is the only character that you will not be taking out of the team although weaker than many ss characters early game still has the capacity to help you through the entirety of the early game especially in the later parts of the game after the second job change, as they are capable of dealing high damage to healing the team depending on the job class that the players make them be.

4. Don’t invest heavily in common/uncommon Characters

As previously said, typical and unusual characters are simply walking bad investments that newcomers usually make. As you progress through the game, it will become increasingly difficult to obtain upgrade materials, so always make sure that you are investing said materials into characters who will accompany you for a long time and will not be useless against the story mode when the enemies become much tougher.
