Gameplay Overview

Ragnarok: Monster World is an interesting game that proves to be slightly different from the usual strategy games. There is no chapter-like progression but the game measures the progress based on user level. As you upgrade yourself to a higher level by fighting matches, you get rewards that unlock valuables.

As you enter the game, you will have a Novice class character. There are other three classes as well. After reaching user profile level 10, you can choose to change your class. The class you choose won’t impact your gameplay style in Ragnarok but will determine your victory.

The gameplay is no stress. It is different from the usual battle units and combat. Each player gets a Nexus or you can enter the central tower of your territory. There are two Guards: Ranged and Melee, to support you in saving the Nexus. You’ll face an opponent at a time and both you and your opponent will release cards of the monsters you’ve equipped in the deck.

The deck could also contain some power cards corresponding to your character class. The HP bar of the Nexus is the main. If your opponent destroys your Nexus, then you’re defeated. So, make sure to always release multiple cards at a time to lower the HP of the Nexus quickly.

Ragnarok: Monster World Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Choose the Correct Class

The initial class is the Novice class as it is the basic class of the game. There are other three classes as well namely Swordsman, Archer, and Magician. These are first-level classes. You can upgrade to one of these classes once you reach user level 10. Each class has specific skill cards.

The character class you choose highly impacts your victory as different sets of skills have different effects on your enemy. To claim your victory, I’ll advise you to pick the first-level classes rather than continuing to the Novice class.

2. Upgrade your User Level

As a lot of game progression and unlocking valuables depend on your User Level, you should work to increase the gauge. The game calculates the level upgrade based on how many combats you engage in through the game. So, fight as many battles as you can. Even if you’re defeated, you still get some points. However, if you win, you’ll get even higher points.

3. Equip Powerful Ragmons in Deck

Yeh Ragmons are a vital part of the game they affect majorly in the battles. Having a strong Ragmon can help you destroy all the other lower ones and can also defeat the guardians and the Nexus single-handedly. You have 5 deck options and each deck will have almost 8 Ragmons. So, you must create a powerful team of Ragmons that are consistent, have high HPs, and have abilities that can take down your enemy easily.

4. Complete the Quests

The quest section has the daily quests and the weekly quests. You may already know about the basic quests in the section. The daily quests have a span of 24 hrs and the weekly ones have a span of 7 days. The weekly quests are more hectic.

However, the more work you have to put in, the more beneficial rewards you’ll gain. Once you complete the quest, you get rewards like coins, crystals, and chests that provide you with Ragmon cards. These rewards are valuable enough to accelerate your progress in the game.

5. Participate in the League

As I’ve mentioned in the above points, there are three leagues: the Gold League, the Silver League, and the Bronze. There exist certain Challenge grades for each league. Each of the challenge grades has specific rewards that include Coins or Ragmon cards.

For each league, there are a total of 7 matches per day. After that, the league rewards and other vital parts are renewed. If you win 7 consecutive times, you’ll even get 800x Crystals. So, participate in the league to gain more such rewards.
