Resident Evil Survival Unit is a survival horror strategy title from Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corp. The game became available a few days ago, followed by a soft launch in select regions this September. Whenever you play the game, you need to make sure you have the perfect squad. To do that, you need knowledge of the characters and their ability. Though there are several characters in one role, not all of them possess equal power. Resident Evil Survival Unit Hero Tier List: Best Heroes Ranked
Before you dive into our hero tier list for the game, you should know some things first. The game currently has 17 heroes based on different variants. It features three types of heroes. Here’s an overview of them.
- Attacker: They’re your key to dominating the battles, whether it is against other players from the worldwide server or against the zombies running after your den. The game has six attackers.
- Defender: What will you do when a horde of enemies/zombies comes to take you down? Yes, you place the defenders in front. They’ll be your shield to defend your establishments.
- Ranger: Lead the ranger squad into battle. Increases the stats of ranger troops in the deployed squad.
Based on the rarity of the heroes, there are three types as well. Take note that attackers can be of three rarities. Thus, the same for legendary and epic. Legendary heroes are hard to get, while you will get the rare ones easily.
Heroes have a secondary type of role besides their three defined roles. Joining Rally tagged heroes will increase the stats of all squads participating in the rally if this hero is the squad leader. Heroes with the Gather tag will increase your gathering speed. The Development heroes will grant skills that provide benefits for Mansion and Army Development.
Another kind of heroes will be the Defense ones. This hero grants a buff skill that increases squad stats when stationed at a Mansion or Outpost. Legendary characters have one extra ability or role, which is: Combat Specialist. It grants a skill that increases the stats of All Deployed Squads.

A hero may have two or more roles, and not all legendary heroes have three roles. This helps you to check who’s worth investing in for long-term progression and who’s better kept as a temporary support while you hunt for stronger units. Best Heroes in Resident Evil Survival Unit
As I said earlier, you should not spend much money on characters with less return. Rather, focus on balanced characters if you do not get the legendary or powerful ones. Now, I will explain the best heroes in each role.
1. Best Attacker: Ada Wong
Ada Wong, the legendary class hero with three specialities. She can perform as an attacker, developer, and defender. This mysterious woman worked in Raccoon City under the guise of an FBI agent. Her skills include Decoy Device, EMF Scan, EMF Accelerator, Mastermind, Information Utilization, and Favorable Terrain.
With a basic combat power of 16,800, she is one of the top-rated fighters in the game. Her Level Combat power is 5,000, and Grade Combat power is 10,000. However, she unlocks Gear Combat once you level up her gears.
2. Best Defender: Leon S. Kennedy
Leon S. Kennedy, the defender hero, has the highest combat power of all in this game. I assume this is because of his role as a defender. He can perform Join Rally and Combat Specialist as well. His skills include Rocket Launcher, Spin Kick, Piercing Shot, Targeted Shot, Calm Mind, and Martial Art Expert.
Upgrading each will grant you a huge boost in squad power. Leon has a total of 21,550 hero combat power. Besides, his Level Combat power is 6,250, and his Grade Combat is double. As most of the heroes start with a 1,800 skill combat power, he also has the same. The gear section unlocks once you acquire him.
3. Best Ranger: Jill Valentine
Jill Valentine is a perfect squad leader with the Join Rally and Combat Specialist title. Her skills include Railgun, Grenade Launcher, Delta Force, Grenade Burst, Demolitions Expert, and Surprise Fire. Her piercing shots from the railgun will save you extra time and effort!
She is good at serving for crowd control. Her combat power matches Ada Wong’s. Besides, she shares similar numbers in Combat Powers and all the sub-powers within it. However, her role made her deadly and placed her on our list.

So, you can see that most of the legendary heroes took the top places because of their dynamic roles, powers, and ability to perform specific and multi-role abilities. However, you won’t get everyone soon, so without spending much time, try to upgrade the skills of the second-best alternatives from the list.
