To understand the gameplay, we must understand the basics first. The story in the game progresses in the form of Acts. Each act has certain chapters and each chapter has ten stages in total. You need to get through an even number of stages to proceed in the story. However, the missions involve you not dying till the end of the chapter. If you are defeated without perishing the boss at the last stage you will be sent back to the 1st stage.

Mastering the in-game Combat System

As the veterans know, Shadow Fight games are best known for their excellent combat system. When a stage fight starts, both you and your enemies will be displayed with a health bar at the top. You will be provided with three buttons on the screen.

There is a joystick on the left side of the screen that features all the directions. It is used to move your character, Shadow. You can move your character diagonally, jump, or even roll in the fight. In case there is no movement from your end, Shadow will automatically block the opponent’s attack.

The other two buttons on the right side of the screen are used to fight your enemy. The first icon with a fist figure represents attacking using your hands. This also includes the weapons you are carrying. The second icon has a foot figure and is used to attack the enemy with the feet. You can press the attack button multiple times to unleash certain moves. The specific combinations of the joystick and the two icons help you to perform actions such as Suplex, Kick Flip, Sweep, and many others. You can follow the Movelist to learn about all the combos.

Now the additional feature, Shades, makes this game different from all the other Shadow Fight games. After every stage you complete, you will have to choose a Shade out of the three given options. Every Shade gives you a different buff that lasts for your next stage. The Shades can highly benefit you in the fight.

Your Health does not revive until you complete stage 6 of a chapter. However, only a percentage of your Health will be revived while you are meditating in the Special Room. In case you die in any of the stages, you get to revive once and restore your complete health either using the game’s currency or watching a video. Therefore, make use of the additional benefits and make your way through the fights.
