There are two different types of runes available in UNDECEMBER namely Skill Runes and Link Runes. Skill runes denote the skills of the players which can be collected through various ways such as buying them from townships, quest rewards, or by killing and defeating enemies and monsters. Link runes are linked with the skill runes to increase their effectiveness but the runes that can be linked and combinations that can be formed are limited and need to keep in mind.

The stat of the runes can be divided into three types which are Agility, Strength, and Intelligence. All the runes in the game belong to either of these runes. Here is the list of the most important runes which are available in the game and what skills it grants the players if they are used.
- Combo: Makes the weapon swing twice at the enemy while dealing damage faster than normal when used in a frenzy.
- Lightning Strike: The main enemy which is getting attacked gets dealt 50 percent of the damage while all the other enemies present nearby get caught in the Shockwave and get dealt extra damage.
- Strong Regenerative Power: It is used as an enhancer for defense and the cooldown gets shared among the skills used.
- Whirlwind: It has a 70 percent probability of inflicting a cutting effect when being used but also reduces speed by 20 percent when it is equipped.
- Fierce Band: It has a Super Strike which can be triggered by the player in gaps of 3 seconds.
- Sentence of Blow: This rune activates the number one while applying a 10-second cooldown to its effects.
- Flame Storm: It has fire damage of 250 percent while inflicting 50 percent of the damage to the main enemy in the target.
- Hushed Shout: It increases the cooldown recovery speed by 18 percent while also increasing the area of effect by 5 percent.
- Attack Damage Increase: This rune increases the damage dealt upon the enemy by 20 percent but also has an extra 15 percent resource cost.
- Hunger: It increases melee damage by 15 percent while also adding one Life on an attack hit and costs 20 percent on its resource cost.
- Wide Area Effect: As the name suggests, it increases the area of effect by 20 percent and the area of effect damage by 10 percent.
- Ignite: When this rune is ignited for the first time, it provides 100 percent more ignition damage for 0.5 seconds and also gives an ignition power boost of an extra 15.
- Centre of Gravity: Every second of remaining stationary helps gain the Centre of Gravity and comes with an expensive resource cost with an increase of 20 percent.
- Overpower: Helps acquire the Overwhelming effect for 8 seconds while the control status is abnormal and has a 15 percent increase in resource cost.
- Confidence: When the player’s HP is full, it gives immunity for shield regeneration for 3 seconds upon being hit.
- Continuous Shout: It has an additional 5 percent cry skill rune effect along with an additional 10 percent cry skill rune duration.
- Lasting Pain: This rune provides an additional 15 bleeding ability with a 15 percent increase in bleeding damage and costs an extra 20 percent on its resource cost.
- Burning Flame: Provides additional ignition power of 15 and a 20 percent increase in Ignition Damage.
- Bloodthirst: It stops the player from bleeding while awarding an extra 20 percent on critical rate upon enemies in battle along with an additional 10 percent extra on critical strike damage.
- Improved Shot: Increases damage by 4.5 percent and critical strike damage by 7 percent while also making it last for 5 seconds.
- Sentence of Defense: Provides an additional 30 percent armor while costing an extra 15 percent on resource consumption.
- Physical Domain Sentences: It reduces the physical damage the player tolerates by 10 percent and the maximum number of sentences that can be activated is one.
- Leap Attack: It has an additional 30 percent knockback chance with an extra 50 percent knockback distance along with an area effect of 200.
- Crescent Slash: The existing weapon range gets increased by 120 and it also provides a 180 percent jump on the existing physical damage-dealing capabilities.
- Earth Blow: Equips a wide range of 300 with a 195 percent increase in physical damage along with an extra 120 percent of attack critical.
- Attack Impulse: It increases dexterity by 4 percent while also increasing the agile 10 per attack rate by 0.4 percent.
- Blind Aid: It provides an increase of 15 percent damage to blind enemies and also increases blindness by 15.
- Slaughter: Provides an 8 percent increase to critical damage along with a 15 percent increase t9 resource consumption.
- Chain: When equipped, the players take lesser damage by 20 percent over time and resource consumption also increases by 20 percent.
- Damage Over Time: It increases damage by 20 percent over time and decreases strike damage by 50 percent.
- Time acceleration: It increases the rune cooldown by 10 percent.
- Finishing Blow: This especially makes the player attack enemies who have health under 20 percent.
- Find weakness: Increases critical damage by 20 percent.
- Projectile acceleration: It increases the speed of the projectile by 30 percent along with increasing the damage done by the projectile by 25 percent.
