What is Rare Timber in Heartopia

Rare Timber is a high-quality wood in Heartopia used for advanced crafting and premium building upgrades. Unlike common timber, which you can gather almost anywhere, Rare Timber only drops under very specific conditions. That means you cannot obtain Rare Timber from normal trees.

No matter how many you chop, regular trees will never drop them. Instead, Rare Timber comes exclusively from Gigantic Trees, which are visually larger, taller, and far more distinct than anything else in the environment.

Where to find Rare Timber in Heartopia

Finding Rare Timber in Heartopia revolves entirely around locating and harvesting Gigantic Trees. These trees stand out immediately once you’ve seen one. Because they are abnormally large compared to standard trees.

And only these Gigantic Trees have a chance to drop Rare Timber when harvested with your pickaxe. More importantly, they always spawn near the road that loops around the Suburbs. So the road acts as a natural guide, making it easier to plan a route without wandering aimlessly.

Where to find the Gigantic Trees for Rare Timber in Heartopia

All known Rare Timber trees are located in the Suburbs area, arranged around the main road. So here are the most reliable locations to check:

  • Near Home Plot 01
  • Between Home Plots 04 and 05
  • Near Home Plot 08
  • Near Home Plot 12

Once you spot a Gigantic Tree, equip your pickaxe from your backpack and harvest it like any other tree. However, there are two critical things to keep in mind. First, Rare Timber is not always guaranteed. Even when you harvest the correct tree, you may only receive normal timber.

Second, Gigantic Trees have a two-hour (120-minute) cooldown after being harvested. During this time, they will not drop resources again. So make sure to time the countdown well before going back for more Rare Timber.

Buying Rare Timber

Sometimes, despite careful planning, you may still fall short of the Rare Timber you need. In these situations, Heartopia offers a backup solution. You can purchase Rare Timber directly from the Acorn Store. The exchange rate allows players to buy 20 Rare Timber for 10 Moonlight Crystals.

Moonlight Crystals can be obtained through various in-game activities, including redeeming special codes that grant valuable rewards. While purchasing Rare Timber isn’t ideal for long-term farming, it’s extremely useful when you’re just a few pieces short of completing an important crafting project.
