Go to article for your bug fixes!

The action RPG Wuthering Waves has finally received a global launch, and without any surprises, the game has already attracted plenty of attention, and hence many gamers. Since this is a recent launch, the game has seen some unintended bugs, say stuck on the loading screen, and lag issues, and hence, a fix is necessary for such problems. After navigating through various solutions, I’ve put together this guide to assist you to fix the bugs we encounter in Wuthering Waves.

Additionally, the developers announced a creator program in January 2024, informing how interested people could apply. Additionally, there are resources such as redeem codes, a reroll guide, a beginner’s guide, an element guide, a weapon guide, echoes, a gacha system, a co-op guide, and a tier list to aid you as you progress through the game. You can also delve into Twitch drops, and opportunities for free rewards, along with guidance on how to claim them.

Wuthering Waves bugs listed and how to fix them

1. Gateway Connection Timed Out/Fatal error

Issue

One of the main issues encountered by the players is the Fatal error that completely stops the game. Here, there is a pop-up of Gateway Connection during launch that won’t allow any command or input. This error might be because the game may have a temporary glitch causing the connection time-out error.

How to Fix

Close the game and relaunch it. Before relaunching, ensure your internet connection is stable. Switch to a more stable WiFi or connect to the internet via an ethernet cable. Turn off any VPNs you’re running, as they can cause issues with your internet’s stability.

2. Lag and Stuttering Issues

Issue

With the game being fairly new, players have been facing lag issues. This may be caused due to plenty of reasons, be it Higher Graphics Settings, Bad Network connection, and so on.

How to Fix

To reduce lag or stuttering, first, try the Graphics Settings option. To access that, open the game settings menu on the bottom right corner of your menu, and navigate to Graphics Settings. Reduce Graphics Quality to Low or Very Low and check if the issue persists.

Suppose there are still issues regarding the same. In that case, I suggest checking the following settings: V-Sync, Motion Blur, Volumetric Fog, Volumetric Lighting, and Capsule AO, and disabling them one by one accordingly. To make it smoother, set Shadow Quality, Special Effects Quality, and LOD Bias to Low and rerun your game.

Sometimes stuttering can be caused by Internet issues too, which I have covered in the next section.

3. Redeem Failed error

Issue

You receive a “Redeem failed” error when trying to redeem an Echo gift card. Well, this isn’t a critical error, it is just a bug that doesn’t make any negative impact.

This occurs only when you are redeeming Echo. The only way to fix this issue is by redeeming more Echo gift cards until you get a five-star Echo. It usually takes multiple tries before you get a five-star Echo.

4. Connection Lost

Issue

An issue where players get a pop-up of “Connection Lost” while playing the game.

How to Fix

An unstable internet connection can result in lag as well as disconnecting from the game during gameplay. This is purely your internet connection issue, which can be fixed only via device settings. You need to check your Mobile Data or Wi-Fi connection and try switching on and off flight mode on your device.

5. Crashing on Android

Issue

Few of the players on social media have complained about the game crashing on Android, where the game either stops loading or crashes with a black screen.

How to Fix

First, ensure that you have installed the official Google Play Store version of the game. Next, check the compatibility. If it is fine, then check the storage settings of your phone and delete unnecessary apps or files to free up space. Then, reinstall or update Wuthering Waves.

Uninstall the game from your phone settings, then reinstall it from the Google Play Store. This will ensure the latest version and replace any corrupted files. This should work; otherwise, if it doesn’t, contact customer support and wait for updates from the devs.

6. Verify File Integrity Stuck/Error

Issue

The progress bar for Verify File Integrity seems stuck at 0% or in the middle and hence doesn’t complete the process.

How to Fix

The best thing to do in this situation is that to keep the game launcher open, even if it looks stuck. For some devices, it might take time if the network isn’t strong enough or the game processing is slower with the device having just enough hardware requirements to run the game.

Closing the launcher can reset the update progress, so I suggest if you have downloaded the large game file, it might be a hassle to download it again.

7. Music Error/Music not playing

Issue

An error where suddenly the music is not audible, along with other odd audio problems. The issue seems to be a bit irritating.

How to Fix

I suggest trying simple steps such as logging out and back in, restarting the game, reconnecting your audio device, and adjusting the music volume to zero if other sounds aren’t playing during battles.
