SEGA and Yoko Taro’s new RPG game 404 GAME RE:SET is all but set to launch in Japan on April 25 this year. The developers announced the game in a showcase event held a couple of months back and this time around they will be releasing it in Japan on April 25.
SEGA announced the details regarding the Japanese release via a live stream
404 GAME RE:SET will be a collaboration between SEGA and Yoko Taro, the developers gave the details regarding the game in the live stream. During the Livestream, details were shared regarding what players could expect from the game, what new characters were being added to the game, and what collaboration characters with games from Bandai Namco, Capcom, SNK, and Taito will be available in the game.
The developers laid a special mention to the variety of characters that will be available for the fans and players to choose from. Given the list shared via the developers in the Livestream, it can surely be said that the game will be boasting of a loaded roster from the fans to choose their character. Following are the characters available in the game as per the details shared in the Livestream-
- Altered Beast – CV: Akira Sekine
- Columns – CV: Hitomi Ueda
- Crazy Taxi – CV: Mariya Ise
- Dynamite Cop – CV: Misaki Watada
- Fighting Vipers – CV: Kaede Hondo
- Golden Axe – CV: Yume Miyamoto
- Hang-On – CV: Natsumi Fujiwara
- The House of the Dead – CV: Miku Itou
- Pengo – CV: Ari Ozawa
- Space Harirer – CV: Yumiri Hanamori
- Thunder Blade – CV: Mikako Komatsu
- Virtua Racing – CV: Haruka Shiraishi
These will be just the in-game characters that will be available in the game on top of this, developers have added that they will also be collaborating with many other famous development brands hence many more characters can also be expected to be added soon in the game. The plot of the game goes by the idea that SEGA takes over the world and runs all the functioning.
Players can pre-register for the game on Android and iOS
Players can also pre-register for the game on Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and App Store respectively. However, not much can be said regarding how the game would work, it is possible however for the game to be a level-based game where in each level players would have to fight waves of enemies as the Sega game characters.
Apart from this nothing much can be said regarding the game, which makes the game even more interesting from a neutral point of view. Interested fans in Japan should surely refer to the live stream for more details regarding the release.
