Angry Birds in collaboration with Top Golf was launched in autumn 2020 and became a smashing hit went to win two of the most prestigious awards. In August 2021, the game took home the award for “Best Product – Apps, Software, Video Games at the Licensing International Excellence Awards 2021”. Soon after the game went on to win gold for the “Best Brand Experience” category in the North American Transform Awards 2021.
The Angry Birds x Topgolf collaboration was a major success
In 2020, Rovio collaborated with Topgolf, a global sports entertainment company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The collaboration came out as a huge hit becoming the most played game mode after Topgolf’s classic mode. And this was made possible by the introduction of leading Toptracer ball-tracking technology and replacing the birds’ slingshot with golf clubs.
This collaboration was the first time a game brand was combined with golf for a unique interactive experience. Both companies are keen on blending technology and entertainment which enabled the fans to play Angry Birds and destroy digital structures with their golf swings in real life instead of on their phone screens. The game instantly became Topgolf’s second most played game. Even during the pandemic, the game increased Topgolf’s fun rating by 12 % based on satisfaction surveys. The game has been played more than 1 million times since its launch in October 2020.

For people who don’t know yet what this is all about, Topgolf games is a company that utilizes micro-chipped golf balls and Toptracer technology to keep track of every shot and Angry Birds became one of the modes in it.

Firstly, the person has to find the Topgolf venue nearby from the Topgolf website and reach that venue. Get in the Bay, select the Angry Birds game and choose a chapter on the game panel.
Now the person has to hit a golf ball with the golf stick to send one of the Angry Birds out to earn points. There are many structures, buildings, pigs to be smashed down which can be seen in the panel.
