The soft launch of Apex Legends Mobile, which was supposed to take place this week in selected regions, has been delayed by almost a week to March 7th, 2022. In the other news, the Battlefield Mobile Alpha Test, scheduled to take part before the end of February has also been delayed to an unknown future date.
For now, this is all that the developers have officially said and players will now have to wait for a little longer to get their hands on the game.
Delays are due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine
While updating the players about the commencement of the soft launch of Apex Legends Mobile, EA said, “Due to current world events, we made the decision to shift the limited regional launch of Apex Legends Mobile. Our intention is to now release the game to participating countries on March 7 Pacific Standard Time”.
This is probably quite disappointing for a lot of players who were eagerly waiting for the games. However, it’s understandable to some extent as the recent conflict between Ukraine and Russia has affected many and the gaming industry is no exception.
Similarly, a tweet by Industrial Toys has confirmed that the Battlefield Mobile alpha test for India and Thailand region has been delayed for the same reason, without any tentative timing for the game’s release.
Apex Legends Mobile will now be soft-launched in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia on Android and iOS devices on 7th March, and Battlefield Mobile will be entering alpha only for Android devices in India and Thailand at alter date set to be announced.
