Arthdal Chronicle: Netmarble’s MMORPG to release globally on both Mobile and PC with cross-platform feature

A game based on the Korean Drama show

Netmarble, during the 5th Netmarble Together with Press (NTP) event, announced that Arthdal Chronicle MMORPG will be released on both mobile and PC. They’ll be working on turning Arthdal Chronicles into a global IP in collaboration with Studio Dragon. At the same event, a new Game of Thrones mobile game is also announced.

Arthdal Chronicle MMORPG to be released with new regions and tribes

For anyone who doesn’t know, Arthdal Chronicles was a popular Korean drama show published by Studio Dragon. The first season dropped in 2019 but it is being brought back for a second season.

Netmarble actually plans to expand the world and add various regions and tribes that weren’t seen in the first season as they’ve collaborated with the writer of Arthdal Chronicles to provide an open adventure to their players in the content of Arthur.

The Arthdal Chronicle MMORPG will also aim to provide an experience parallel to a real society so players get immersed in the game. There’ll be competition and conflict along with politics and an economy. There was also a trailer shown off during the NTP where a part of the world and characters was shown off and it does look really pretty.

Also, as reported by Inven, the game will release on both Mobile and PC although there’s no official release date.

Netmarbel expressed their interest in blockchain and metaverse during the NTP event

Another thing that was announced during the NTP was Netmarble’s interest in the blockchain and the metaverse. They intend to work on integrating elements like Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and digital assets in their video games.

They’re also developing another mobile game called Everyone’s Marble- Metaworld, which is a sequel to a game being played by hundreds of millions of players. Players will be able to purchase in-game assets in the form of NFTs and the international version (outside of South Korea) will have play-to-earn (P2E) elements.
