Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI, the Indian iteration of the popular battle royale and shooter game PUBG Mobile was affected by an unknown server issue earlier today, which made it impossible for players to log in to the game and showed an error prompt.
BGMI devs responded to the complaints about the server issue
According to the accounts of the players, whenever they tried to log in to or enter the game, the loading screen came up but didn’t progress to the lobby screen like it is supposed to under normal circumstances. Instead, the players were greeted by the above message or prompt every time they tried to log in, which stated that the server was busy, or in other words down for some reason.
Soon enough online platforms such as Twitter and Reddit were flooded with player complaints urging BGMI and Krafton to look into the matter and resolve the issue. In response, Krafton were quick to pick up on the issue and published a notice on their official BGMI website. The notice stated that the game’s team was actively looking into the issue and coming up with ways to solve it as soon as possible.
The problem was deemed temporary, with people being confident that a fix will be available sooner than later. But for a game with a popularity of such magnitude as BGMI, it’s always a tense situation when such issues pop up without warning as it involves taking care and appealing to the millions of players who play the game every day and expect prompt fixes to all their issues. Therefore, it puts a certain amount of pressure on the developing team to work out a fix before the patience of the players breaks the dam.

Although the problem has been fixed as of now, the developer team is still on the lookout for any further disruptions and is ready to fix it again should the need for it rise. The quick action and issue of a public notice could be treated as proof that the game developers are constantly on the lookout for players’ feedback and waiting to act on it.
