Blue Archive announces a spinoff Anime series based on the hit mobile game

From a hit game to a possibly hit anime!

Blue Archive, a hit RPG title developed by Nexon, has confirmed an Anime Series based on the game will soon be released. The series is reportedly set to be released under the official title of ‘Blue Archive’.

The game, developed by Nexon Games was undoubtedly a hit title with many across the globe appreciating the game on many levels, the Anime series will be expected to follow on the same path as of the game in terms of reach.

The news regarding the official launch of this series was made in a special live event called ‘Blue Akapes’ which was reportedly held to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Blue Archive’s service in Japan. The whole event was held by the publisher Yostar, on 22nd January.

The event marked the developers celebrating many such milestones achieved by the game in the span of 2 years and many more new features which the developers aim to introduce with the next upcoming updates in the game. New ASMR and OST albums, and TANITA collaboration scales featuring Yuuka’s voice were introduced, as well as official anthologies and Twitter events.

Along with all these game related news, an official announcement was also made regarding new anime series set to be released based on the original gaming title Blue Archive, the developers featured a short animated clip with the new featured NPC in the game Arona, with a highlighted message that the TV animation production was decided. Afterward, the news of TV animation production was confirmed through official Twitter, with an official website of the series also being released on a later date.

Information about the Blue Archive anime is very limited as of now

Information about the upcoming anime adaptation is scarce, hence it is hard to comment more on the storyline it could be the same as the base game or it could also have an interesting twist from the main plot.

Blue Archive broke its record in Japan six months ago, ranking as the second game on the best-selling list of both the App Store and Google Play. Yostar Pictures and Nexon Games will hope for a similar impact with their upcoming animated series.
