Boom Beach is sailing to the PC platform via Google Play Games

After over 12 years of entertaining fans on mobile, Boom Beach has confirmed its arrival on the PC platforms via Google Play Games. While the exact release date for the combat strategy game by Supercell has not been made available, this is a big announcement indeed for several reasons.

This marks another Supercell title on PC after Clash of Clans and Clash Royale

This isn’t the first time Supercell has brought its titles to PC. Back in 2023, Clash of Clans and Clash Royale were officially released on PC through Google Play Games in select regions, later expanding further.

Hence, the process to access Boom Beach on PC will likely follow a similar route. You’ll be using the Google Play Games client on Windows, where you can search, install, and play supported titles directly, with account syncing and progress carryover.

For those unfamiliar, Boom Beach is a real-time strategy game where you battle the evil Blackguard forces, build your base, and expand across a tropical archipelago. The game blends base-building, resource management, and large-scale PvP and co-op combat as part of the experience.

As for the arrival on PC, if you have played Boom Beach on a tablet device, you might understand why a bigger screen makes a good difference. Since progress is carried over as well, the layout on PC would be smoother, say, zooming in and out, clicking and dragging will feel better.

Google Play Games on PC is a platform that has been steadily growing since its launch in 2023. With a major update last year, Google is aiming to make all Android games available on PC by default, giving developers the option to opt out if needed.

With Boom Beach joining the list, it likely won’t be the last Supercell title to make the jump, as Brawl Stars and Hay Day could be next in line. For now, the release date for Boom Beach on PC remains unconfirmed. I’ll update this space once more details are available, so stay tuned.
