Clash Royale is back with a fresh season as Season 82, titled “Balloon Festival”, arrives in April 2026, bringing a mix of brand-new Evolution, a new Hero, seasonal events including Balloon Festival, and themed cosmetics. April finally shifts focus back to Evolutions while still adding a new hero, so here is a complete breakdown of everything coming with Clash Royale Season 82.
Clash Royale Season 82 “Balloon Festival” Overview
Season 82 embraces a festive theme with balloons, Easter-style cosmetics, and colorful visuals across the Arena. The biggest highlight this time is the return of Evolutions, paired with a new Hero.
New Hero and Evolution
Hero Balloon
Hero Balloon joins as yet another Hero is added. The Balloon, with its ability Coffin Cadets, allows a Skeleton unit to dive from the Balloon onto the nearest ground target, dealing area damage on landing before continuing the fight as a melee troop.
While the landing impact is strong against troops, it deals very little damage to Crown Towers, so keep this in mind. Hero Balloon can be unlocked instantly through Pass Royale or purchased from the Hero Shop using 200 Hero Coins from day one.
Minion Horde Evolution
Minion Horde finally gets its Evolution with the Horde Immunity ability, making each Minion briefly invisible and invincible after taking its first hit, allowing them to survive spells and chip damage that would normally wipe them out instantly.
However, this comes with a trade-off, as their movement and attack speed are reduced while the effect is active. It will need a single cycle to activate its evolution. Minion Horde Evolution is available from the start of the season as a Pass Royale choice or can be unlocked using 6 Wild Shards.
Free and Diamond Pass Royale Overview
Season 81 continues Clash Royale’s two-track Pass Royale system, splitting rewards between the Free Pass and the Diamond Pass based on progression and Arena level.
Once you reach Arena 15, the Diamond Pass becomes the main attraction. Along with higher resource payouts, it unlocks premium anniversary cosmetics and access to Hero Balloon or the Minion Horde Evolution
However, it comes as an option with three others: 6 Wild Shards, 15 Legendary Wild Cards, and 7500 Common Wild Cards.

The Diamond Pass Tower Skin arrives with the War Balloons design. A variety of new emotes and banners themed around Hero Balloon and Minion Horde Evolution are also available across Pass Royale, events, and the Festival Market.
Based on your choices and chest rewards, you can also get a Champion card, up to 7 Legendary cards, and 400+ Epic cards in the upgraded Pass. A free pass doesn’t give you a chance to pull Champions or Legendaries.
Since Hero Barbarian Barrel headlines the Pass Royale this season, the boosted cards also find themselves related to the same. Balloon, Minion Horde, Freeze, and Baby Dragon.
