Brave Nine from NEOWIZ is unfortunately bidding its goodbyes although it will be available offline as a standalone version. The final patch, set for December 2024, will conclude the storyline. This news comes as another setback for the Brave Nine franchise as BraveNine Story, an RPG based on the IP was shut down recently this February 2024.
The maintenance has been a problem for Brave Nine, Game Director reveals
Brave Nine has been one of the hit RPGs from NEOWIZ, which has been in the industry for seven years. In this game, you collect and upgrade a diverse roster of heroes to form powerful squads, battling through various challenges and competing in PvP arenas. Since its launch in April 2017, Brave Nine has captivated players and has offered a compelling tactical RPG experience.
The news of the game going offline was revealed by Director Juseon Seok via the game’s official social media accounts. The decision to end the ongoing version wasn’t easy, he said, with internal discussions revealing that maintaining the current form of Brave Nine had become “challenging”. Hence, the decision to end the game’s run after seven years was taken.
As a result, the game will transition into a standalone version, allowing players to enjoy the game offline at any time. This final update will remove network connectivity, thus going offline. The update will also conclude the expansive storyline, aiming to offer a fitting end to the game’s journey, for which the team is committed to ensuring that this final update will be a memorable one.
In a special event leading up to the December update, Brave Nine will introduce a 10x Weekly Reward Event starting August 22, 2024, featuring rewards for all three Arenas, a renewed Mercenaries system, a Gold Shop, and new Gold Costumes.
The exact date of Brave Nine ending online service hasn’t been announced yet, but on the day of the December update, the game will be offline. So, if you are among the ones playing Brave Nine, make sure to relive the online gameplay till the end of the year.
