Supercell is back with a new Brawl Talk this February, after the last one in December that bought the Toy Story collaboration. In this new February 2025 Brawl Talk, Brawl Stars has announced a time-controlling Brawler, a new rank system, 12x Hypercharges, new changes to Gadgets, and more.
They have already announced the new rank system, introducing a Pro Pass, new Pro skin rarity, more competitive ranked matches, and more. Let’s dive into the February 2025 Brawl Talk in detail and explore all the new stuff!
Brawl Stars February 2025 Brawl Talk: New Brawlers
Finx
Finx, the owner of the Starr Park escape room, is one of the newest Brawlers revealed in this Brawl Talk. He is a time-controlling Brawler who brings the escape room experience into the game. His main attack, Chronocast, fires three projectiles forward, with the outer two dealing less damage than the center one. This allows you to control a wider area by increasing his hit chances.
His Super, Time Warp, lets you warp time in a specific area, slowing down the projectile speed of your enemies caught in it, while increasing them for yourself and your teammates.
His Gadget, Finxture, lets you step back in time, returning to the position you were in three seconds back, much like Lylia’s ultimate in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This also restores his max ammo from those three seconds.
With the Hieroglyph Halt Star Power, you can reduce the reload speed of enemy Brawlers hit by your main attack for a short duration. His second Star Power, Primer, extends the duration of his Super’s effect for any damage dealt by you or your teammates.
Lumi
Lumi is a badass metal drummer and a member of the Madevil Manor Trio. She is also joining the update after Finx, wielding the powers of Fire and Ice that reflect both sides of her personality.
Lumi’s main attack is a pair of morning stars that you can throw at enemies to deal damage. Once both are thrown, she recalls them like boomerangs, damaging any enemies in their path on the way back. Her Super, Blast Beat, unleashes three heavy slams causing area damage, with the third slam rooting enemies in place.
With her Hit The Lights Gadget, you can ignite her morning stars on the ground, creating damage-dealing flames. With her second Gadget, Grim & Frostbitten, you can generate freezing wind around any morning stars on the ground. She is like Shoto from My Hero Academia anime series.
Her Half-Time Star Power slows down any enemies hit by the returning morning stars. Meanwhile, her other Star Power, 42% Burnt, ignites the ground where her Super’s slams land. These ability names are inspired by a Metallica song and other metal band song references, in case you were wondering.
Brawl Stars February 2025 Brawl Talk: New Hypercharges, Ranked system, Dark Sands Season, New skins, and more
Hypercharges
Great news for everyone, as Brawl Stars is introducing 12x Hypercharges in this update, rolling out in two patches. Here are the Brawlers and their new Hypercharges:
- Carl’s Flamespin – His Super now leaves a fiery trail of rocks that scorch the ground, burning any enemy that touches you.
- Mandy’s Sugar for All – You can fire her Super in three different directions.
- Hank’s Homing Fish-iles – The fish torpedos you fire with his Super now home in on enemies.
- Bo’s Catch a Bear – You can deploy five mines instead of the usual three with his Super, without overriding any existing mines.
- Bea’s Protect the Queen – Her Super’s projectiles split into two at max distance, and on hit, they increase her Super’s range and spread even further.
- Meg’s Tungsten Toughness – This massively increases her Super’s swipe range, while also gaining a shield when you activate her Super.
- Mr. P’s Super Porters Assemble – His home base now spawns much stronger Porters, and you can have two active Super Porters at once.
- Buster’s Plot Armor – Buster’s shield now covers 360 degrees around him, and reflected projectiles deal extra damage.
- Chester’s Crunchy, Chewy, Gooey – He can throw a sweet that explodes, dealing damage, spreading the poison cloud, and leaving the slowing area for a few seconds.
- Lola’s Inflated Ego – Lola can spawn a mega inflated Ego with increased health and damage.
- Grom’s Ground Bomb Goes Boom – His Super triggers a secondary explosion in an X pattern, dealing damage, breaking walls, and knocking enemies back.
- Sam’s Hyper Fist – His Knuckle Buster now travels faster and fully charges his Super if it hits any enemy Brawler during the hypercharge.
Ranked System Overhaul
The ranked mode in Brawl Stars is getting its fourth overhaul history, bringing better rewards, a more competitive experience, and a new game mode every month. Additionally, three new maxed-out Brawlers are available for everyone to play each month. For the upcoming season, you can choose from Emz, Gene, and Leon.

The first Pro Skin will be Colt’s Astral Colt skin, which comes with exclusives like Pin, Profile Picture, Spray, Special Attack effects, eight Pins, Special Takedown effects, an animated Brawler Card, Special Spawn, Respawn effects, Ultra Astral Colt skin, and two Chromas for the Ultra Colt, Guardian Colt and Hyperion Colt. Plus, you can choose which upgrade level of skin to play.
Daily Streak
By logging into Brawl Stars daily, you can collect free rewards, which typically include small freebies but sometimes feature bigger rewards. Maintaining a consistent login streak makes the streak counter catch fire, which looks cool.
If you somehow miss a day, you can either reset the streak or spend 29 Gems to continue the streak. However, missing a day doesn’t impact the rewards you receive.
March Dark Sands Season
In March, the Sands of Time season was originally supposed to return, but with Finx’s reveal, the plans changed. Instead, the upcoming season will be Dark Sands, featuring Mummified Frank skin as the Brawl Pass skin, while the Brawl Pass Plus will include Charcoal Frank and Papyrus Frank.
I am excited about the new season, especially since some of the newer Brawlers are also getting themed skins, including Queen Juju, Mystic Meeple, Pharaollie, Scarab Squeak, and Ruffesses II.
Super Brawl Season
The Super Brawl season is all about the Supercell MAKE Skins, including Justice Master Bibi, designed by the Brawl Stars team. Her two Brawl Pass Plus skins include Injustice Smasher and Virtue Smasher Bibi.
There will be four heroes, starting with Spectaculor Sam, leader of the Super Brawlers designed by FinnyShow, Firewing Janet by WarpWave, and Equilibrium Buster by Vinuui.
Now coming to villains, it features Insector Carl, the mastermind of the crimes by Artho_Max, Protector Grom by J-Y Jacky, and Electroid Chuck by Gedi-Kor.
UNO Collaboration
Brawl Stars is also collaborating with UNO in a mini event with the new UNO Chester Skin and UNO game mode, where you collect and play UNO cards by either taking or throwing them to the discard pile. Similar to UNO, the first team with no cards remaining wins.
Moreover, UNO Action cards trigger special effects.
- Draw two: Team members gain two Power Cubes.
- Skip: Your enemies can’t attack for the next three seconds.
- Reverse: You can move enemy cards back to base.
- Pro-Tip: You can body block flying enemy UNO cards.
Additional skins and other miscellaneous updates
Brawl Stars is also releasing a new skin to win over the Brazilian fans who were disappointed when Piper was chosen over Mandy. To make it up, Carnival Mandy is coming to Carnival 2025. Additionally, there will be a Supercell Store-exclusive skin called P.E.K.K.A.S.H.
These are the upcoming 29 Gems skins: Dark Night Lumi, Jurassic Finx, Fiendish Amber, Beach Belle, First Mate Fang, and Cored Eve. On top of that, Trio Showdown is now permanently available in the game, Gadgets no longer have limited charges and instead have cooldowns, you can favorite Brawlers for quick access, and the Dev team has reordered the Quick Chat.
