Brawl Stars has introduced additional changes to the current Ranked Pool with the March 2025 update, adding the Bounty game mode and increasing the number of maps for each mode by one, in response to the community’s complaints about Brawl Hockey, which still remains in the rotation.
Brawl Stars have addressed community concerns and have made changes to the Ranked Pool
The Brawl Stars team took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce updates to the Ranked Pool following fans’ dissatisfaction, particularly with Brawl Hockey’s rotation. I appreciate how quickly Brawl Stars addresses fan concerns, as previously seen with Pizza Planet Event compensation and Buzz’s nerf.
In response, the team has added the Bounty game mode to the pool and increased the number of maps per mode from three to four. With these changes, they hope the addition of extra maps and Bounty mode will reduce the frequency of Brawl Hockey, which remains in the pool.
Each of the game modes is getting one additional map
Here are the new maps being added for each mode:
- Bounty: Hideout, Layer Cake, Dry Season, Shooting Star.
- Gem Grab: Gem Fort.
- Brawl Ball: Triple Dribble.
- Hot Zone: Ring of Fire.
- Knockout: New Horizons.
- Brawl Hockey: Starr Garden.
Fans are pleased with this move from Brawl Stars, though some are suggesting the complete removal of Brawl Hockey mode, or reducing the probability of getting it at higher ranks, similar to how modifiers were handled.
