Butterscotch Shenanigans has announced to launch their new roguelike dudebuilder title, How Many Dudes?, on Android, iOS, and PC on July 30, 2026. This new game from the creators of the Crashlands series is now open for pre-registration on mobile.
Get ready to survive chaotic enemy waves from gorillas to gods
So, How Many Dudes? is a roguelike dudebuilder that takes the recent viral “100 men vs 1 gorilla” meme and turns it into complete simulated chaos with game-breaking synergies. Set in the Dude Ranch, you can recruit and manage a constantly growing army of Dudes while experimenting with over 850,000 team combinations to take down powerful Act Bosses and survive until the final act.

Now, the game adds a fun twist to the meme because it is not just about men versus gorilla anymore. Here, you can pick from 42 unique Dudes spread across 6 Dude families, including the Undead Dudes, Employed Dudes, and more. And I can already imagine how fun it will be to mix Dude Types and create ridiculous synergies, like Zombie Dudes exploding after getting a hit or Ninja Dude entering stealth when in danger.
And as you defeat the Act Bosses, you earn Trinkets, which are powerful items tied to specific Dude Types for game-breaking strategies. At the same time, you still need to build a team carefully by balancing both offense and defense while surviving increasingly challenging waves that range from toddlers and wolves to gorillas and gods. Overall, the game looks very fun with its Dude Types, 100s of Relics and Trinklets, Wandering Dude events, 3 challenge tiers, modes like The Daily Dude and Ensemble Mode, and more.
How Many Dudes? is set to launch on both Android and iOS on July 30, 2026. So, you can now go ahead and pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. We can expect the game to cost $9.99 at launch, as per the App Store’s listing.
