COD Mobile: Activision launches servers for the South Africa region

Joy for the South African players!

Released almost three years ago, Call of Duty Mobile is one of the most successful mobile games of all time. Bringing Activision’s gaming juggernaut to mobile for free, the game was guaranteed to be a hit. And just like every other game, Game Servers in COD Mobile provides the easiest way to deliver a seamless multiplayer gaming experience to your players around the world. And after having varied servers from its inception, Activision has finally launched the COD Mobile servers for the South Africa region after a long wait.

The voices of the players have finally been heard as the COD Mobile servers go live in South Africa

The game’s makers have set up servers in each location to maintain the game’s latency and ping. In most cases, the participants are assigned to the server that is closest to them. To play with friends from other countries, some users search for a way to switch their in-game server. Consequently, there is a persistent conundrum regarding the legality of switching servers.

The problem with South African players was that they did not have a dedicated server for their region from the inception of the game. And that is why they had to face severe latency issues on their device which did not give them a smooth experience of this game.

Many players utilize virtual private networks to circumvent this issue. Players can conceal their IP address and modify their location using VPNs. However, COD Mobile does not permit the use of VPNs, which added to their woes.

Several times players have voiced their opinion about this and asked for a dedicated server from Activision so that they can also enjoy the game seamlessly like others across the globe. And it is now finally heard as Activision has officially launched the South Africa server for COD Mobile. Depending on how close are you staying to the server area, the less latency you will get on your device while playing this game. For those who haven’t downloaded the game yet, you can do so by going to Google Play Store or else Apple App Store
