ChillyRoom has launched the open-beta test of their new cozy fairy roguelike RPG, Tavern Tale, now available on Android in select regions like the US, UK, India, Malaysia, and more. Global pre-registration is now live, with the game expected to release on June 27, 2026, as per App Store’s listing.
Form your team and fight through the witch’s cursed world to espace
Tavern Tale is an indie action RPG that beautifully mixes 3D fantasy visuals with a darker roguelike adventure. Lore-wise, the world is sealed inside a mysterious cube by an evil witch. However, the cozy tavern built by the dwarf Hank and his friends will be your comforting safe space, from her mobs.
You can form a team of adorable characters, like Snow, Kelly, Master Otto, and more, each coming with their own magic, trinkets, and growth paths. So, it’ll be really fun to experiment with them since every roguelike runs also seem to play out differently. If anything, I’m loving the whole aesthetic of this one.
Moreover, it’s also intriguing how every dungeon and forest path hides a small story, and I can’t wait to discover them, while chatting with quirky guests, exploring forests, and bonding with companions. Overall, this one looks promising with its 30+ heroes, 8 magic paths, cute visuals, 200+ spells, and more.
Tavern Tale is now available in open beta on Android in select regions. You can now download the game via the Google Play Store, while iOS users can pre-register via the App Store. And, we can expect the game to release on June 27, 2026, based on App Store’s listing.
