- Players have received Starry Ores in plenty after the recent update in Clash of Clans.
- The glitch came from the new revenge feature, granting massive unintentional rewards.
A strange glitch hit Clash of Clans and completely shocked players. After the new October 2025 update, many logged in and would see overflowing of Starry Ores every time a new feature was used, way more than anyone should have.
Supercell moved fast to take the servers down and fix the issue, but by then, plenty of players had already enjoyed their accidental ore jackpot, and the rest, of course, aren’t happy with what unfolded. The problem came from a bug in the new revenge feature, which accidentally gave out huge amounts of ores every time it was used.
While many took advantage of the Ore bug, many Clash of Clans players are not happy
The Clash of Clans community has been buzzing ever since the glitch happened, with heated debates over what Supercell should do next. Social media has been filled with both jokes and frustration. Some players are calling for a full rollback or compensation, while some want this “issue” to be “unfixed“.
One player claimed someone received “$400 worth of Starry Ore,” while another mentioned their clanmate boosted their Warden Fireball from level 9 to 23 in minutes. Many others think punishing players for something that isn’t their fault would be too harsh and want Supercell to address this properly, which is fair enough.
Yes, it’s a messy situation, no matter how you look at it. Those who got the rewards might feel their progress is less meaningful now, while those who missed out are stuck with a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out).
What was supposed to be a normal update day suddenly turned into one of the wildest mornings the game has ever seen. You can just check any social platform, and things have turned sour. Definitely, no denying that the bug gave an unfair edge to those who got lucky. For now, Supercell hasn’t said anything about what it plans to do next.
A fair solution might be to offer this issue to everyone, cut the losses, and move on. I don’t see the rollback happening, since these resources have been distributed and many have already used up their ores, but I can see it happening if they are ready to make the Ores count negative, like they do with Gems.
