Following a massive Clash of Clans overhaul coming with the March 2025 “Clash Anytime” update, the major changes are for the removal of the Troop, Spell, and Siege Machine Training time. There is plenty of confusion surrounding this, and many players are trying to understand how exactly this will be implemented.

So, for that exact reason, let me break down all the major Clash of Clans Training Time changes coming with this update and what they mean for you.

Clash of Clans Training Time removed: New changes explained

Training costs were removed years ago, and now Supercell is taking it a step further by eliminating training time. With the complete removal of training time, this means you can build your army instantly and jump into battles whenever you want.

New Army UI and Army Recipes feature

In the new video from the developers, a fresh, clean UI is coming to make army management smoother, and it also looks pretty cool. The Heroes are viewed on a much larger screen this time, and you can view everything about your army together.

From now on, you can create, save, and load entire armies using the new Army Recipe feature. This includes not just troops and spells but also Heroes, Pets, and Clan Castle requests. It makes switching between different attack strategies much easier, especially for pro players and Legend League players.

No loot limit and ‘unlimited battles abuse’ prevention

With no training time, you might wonder if there’s a limit on loot. The answer is no. Attack as much as you want and earn as much loot as you can. However, natural restrictions like storage limits and Builders will still determine how much you can collect.

To prevent bots from abusing unlimited battles, a new rule is in place: your troops remain in battle until the attack is completed. This means you won’t be able to start a new attack until your previous battle is fully resolved. This applies to the Builder Base, Clan Capital, and Home Village.

Clan Castle Donations will be through resources, faster too

Since training time is gone, troop donations have changed as well. Now, instead of training troops to donate, you’ll use Elixir or Dark Elixir to donate instantly. One-gem donations remain the same, however, with the gem icon indicating the same, and you can switch between them, but I’m sure you won’t.

Also, to ensure Clan Castles are always filled, the donation request cooldown is being reduced from 20 minutes to 10 minutes for all of us. If you have the Gold Pass, this can go down to just 2 minutes, so it’s a nice way to add that ‘premium’ bonus.

Trophy System will favour ‘slower advancements’

With unlimited battles, trophy climbing could become too easy. To keep things fair, the number of trophies gained from one- and two-star victories is being reduced. This helps prevent players from advancing too quickly and ending up in high-level leagues they aren’t ready for.

If you consistently secure two or three-star wins, though, you’ll still earn trophies at a good pace. While there are no major Legend League changes in this update, expect some changes to be implemented soon.

Match Anytime

To solve the issue of the clouds appearing for a long time during battles, Supercell is implementing new server technology called Match Anytime. This will make sure there are always available bases to attack whenever you are stuck, so basically, you are attacking a picture of their base.

So you get a base that is under a shield. You can still attack that base and get both the loot and the trophies. However, if you are the defender, you lose nothing. So, you can notice they are also promoting the use of shields all the time because you will never lose the trophies if that’s the case.

That’s all for the changes you will see following the removal of Clash of Clans Training Time. Read other related Clash of Clans:
