Overview
The Balloon Festival is a limited-time seasonal event centered around earning and spending a special currency called Balloon Tokens. Running in April with the Season 82, although the dates haven’t been announced.
During the festival event, you take part in monthly events and challenges to collect tokens, which can then be used in a dedicated Festival Market filled with exclusive rewards.
Now, if you look at the Festival Market closely, you will slowly remember something is back. Well, not exactly, but it does bring back the “Season Shop” vibes here, which was taken away from us when the March 2025 update went live.
Balloon Tokens and Progression
Now, Balloon Tokens are the core currency of the event. You earn Balloon Tokens by participating in seasonal events and challenges. You won’t earn them from regular ladder matches alone, but also through event-based gameplay, so keep playing monthly events and challenges.
The amount of tokens depends on your progress and performance. These Tokens, once collected, can then be spent freely in the Festival Market, where all of the rewards lie.
Festival Market and Rewards
As mentioned earlier, the Festival Market is where you’ll be spending all your Balloon Tokens. It works as a seasonal shop that’s only available during the event.
Instead of unlocking rewards in a fixed order, you decide what to pick up based on how many tokens you’ve earned. If you’ve played enough, you’ll have access to more items. If not, you’ll need to choose carefully.
On the rewards side, you have Banners, Lucky Chests, Emotes, and more. Each comes with a fixed Balloon Tokens cost, so you can decide what you need and progress as per that.
