- Season 67 brings Rune Giant and Dart Goblin Evolution to Clash Royale.
- This season’s shop features eight cards, including PEKKA and Royal Ghost, along with evolution shards, banners, and emotes.
The new year is here, and to celebrate the same, Clash Royale as usual has introduced yet another season update which is titled ‘Runic Mountain’, which makes the Season 67 debut this January 2025. The game is packed with updates this festive season, with highlights like the much-anticipated Card Evolution feature, a brand new Epic card, and other exciting additions. In this article, I’ll provide an overview of everything you need to know about these updates.
Clash Royale Season 67 January 2025 Update Overview
New Card: Rune Giant
Might lose count of how many of these “Giant” cards are popping up in the game. Still, this card is pretty unique. First, Rune Giant is a female, she comes with a special ability that brings the best out of her surrounding cards. The Rune Giant enchants up to two nearby friendly troops, increasing their damage by 220 every third attack.
This ability works best with troops that have multiple projectiles, say for example the Electro Wizard and Executioner, or even cards that deal big damage, the Elite Barbarians or PEKKA. Expect significant advantages to troops that deal lower damage per hit, such as Archers or Skeletons, making them much more dangerous.
New Card Evolution: Dart Goblin
The Dart Goblin Evolution brings a major upgrade to the common card. If you found this guy already irritating, his evolution introduces the Toxic Darts ability, which turns the Dart Goblin’s attacks into a poisonous weapon that damages enemies over time. Much more of an irritation now. Whenever Dart Goblin hits a target, the area around it becomes poisoned, and the more attacks he lands, the deadlier the poison gets.
The damage caused by the poison is separated into three tiers, each more powerful than the last. The Toxic Darts leave behind a poisoned area with a 1.5-tile radius, which affects both ground and flying troops. However, when targeting Crown Towers, the damage is capped at Tier 1, regardless of how many darts hit. Evolution is triggered every 2 cycles.
New Tower Skins
As usual, we have one new Tower Skin that has been officially confirmed for the Pass Royale with this update. The season-themed Forge Tower Skin is unlocked once you have reached Tier 56 of the Premium Tier in the Pass Royale.
Emotes and Banners
Five new emotes will be coming, including via promotional, purchase, and Path of Legends. These new emotes will be based on the Season theme, new card evolution, and Rune Giant. Speaking of Banners, we will have 1 Banner for Diamond Pass Royale owners, 4 in the Banner Box, and 1 from the Season Shop.
Season Shop, Card Boosts, and Offers
The Season Shop has been updated with rewards available for exchange with season tokens. In addition to the cards available, banners and emotes stand out as valuable investments. Just like last time, we will have eight cards available in the shop.
Among them are Zap, Fireball, Battle Ram, Poison, PEKKA, and Minions, each priced at 500 tokens for a set of 100 or 25 cards depending on the rarity. Additionally, the Legendary Royal Ghost and Electro Wizard cards are available, each costing 1500 tokens for a set of 1 card.

If you want to push some Card Evolutions, you can find PEKKA Shards in the Season Shop for 5000 tokens. Wild Shards for 6000 tokens and Rare Book is also featured in the Season Shop for 10000 tokens. Just three cards were picked for boost this time: Goblin Dart, Little Prince, and Cannon Cart, drifting apart from the usual pattern of four.
