Clash Royale is here with a new season, as Season 80 “Midnight Mischief” arrives with two brand-new Heroes, multiple seasonal activities, and in-game items. February 2026 also marks the third straight Hero-focused season, and it slowed down Evolutions. Here’s a complete breakdown of everything coming with Clash Royale Season 80.
Clash Royale Season 80 “Midnight Mischief” Overview
Season 80 leans heavily into a gothic Valentine-style theme, blending romance but with some goblin chaos. Alongside new Heroes, we are getting Crown Chase events, Clan Voyage, rotating seasonal modes, and a large set of cosmetic unlocks spread across Pass Royale, Ranked, and limited-time events.
New Heroes: Hero Goblins and Hero Mega Minion
As announced ahead of the season, we have two new heroes going live.
Hero Goblin
Hero Goblins get a unique ability, Banner Brigade. When deployed, they behave like regular Goblins. However, upon the defeat of the final Goblin, a Brigade Banner is dropped in the arena. Activating Banner Brigade during its short window summons a second wave of Goblins around the banner.
Unlike other Hero abilities, Banner Brigade cannot be activated immediately. You must wait for all four Goblins to fall, making timing and placement especially important. Hero Goblins is now available and can be unlocked through Pass Royale for players above Arena 15.
Hero Mega Minion
Hero Mega Minion gets the Wounding Warp, which allows the hero to teleport instantly to the enemy with the lowest maximum HP anywhere in the Arena, dealing bonus damage on arrival. The teleport range is unlimited, so it can also attack backline units, collectors, or support troops.
Wounding Warp can only be activated once per deployment and cannot target Crown Towers. Once activated, Mega Minion becomes untargetable during the teleport, forcing enemies to retarget afterward. Early access to Hero Mega Minion begins on February 13, 2026, via the in-app shop for players above 5,000 trophies.
Free and Diamond Pass Royale Overview
Season 80 continues Clash Royale’s split Pass Royale system, with rewards divided between the Free track and the Diamond Pass depending on how far you have progressed in the game.
For players below Arena 15, the Free Pass focuses mainly on progression. You’ll be picking up Gold, Wild Cards, Boost Potions, and a steady flow of Lucky Chests simply by playing through the season.

Once you reach Arena 15, the Diamond Pass becomes far more appealing. Along with the usual resource upgrades, it unlocks premium cosmetics, seasonal perks, and access to Hero Goblins.
The Diamond Pass Tower Skin arrives at Tier 10, featuring the Love Temple design, which fits neatly into the Midnight Mischief theme. A wide set of new emotes themed around Hero Goblins and Hero Mega Minion is also spread across the season, alongside multiple new battle banners.
On the gameplay side, the update lines up with the seasonal boosts to Goblins, Princess, Mega Minion, and Zap, all of which pair pretty well with the new Hero releases.
