RisingWings, a self-reliant studio under the umbrella of Krafton, Inc., revealed that it is set to release its real-time strategy defense mobile game, Defense Derby, to a worldwide audience on August 3, 2023. Players can access the game through Google Play, Apple’s App Store, and Samsung’s Galaxy Store.
Dive into intense 4-player PvP battles in Defense Derby
Breathing fresh energy into the tower defense genre, Defense Derby immerses players in 4-player PvP battles, where intense strategy, clever mind games, and the utilization of powerful synergy effects take center stage. The game kicks off with a “scouting stage,” during which participants engage in bidding wars to recruit units and assemble their squads.
The strategic placement of these units within their respective castles is crucial as it determines their ability to leverage their unique strengths and fend off waves of incoming monster attacks. Ultimately, the last player left standing, with their castle still intact, emerges victorious and claims the title of winner. Defense Derby also introduces an innovative genre termed Betting Royale, a gameplay element that combines scouting for units and engaging in battles through bidding.

The game’s soft launch in six countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, and Hong Kong, proved successful, receiving positive feedback from players. Set to be launched in more than 190 countries worldwide, Defense Derby is designed to support nine different languages, which encompass Korean, English, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Portuguese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional). In celebration of its official release, the game will introduce a fresh ‘Quest Mode‘ along with improved Friendly Derby and spectator features.
