Draw It: Kwalee’s hypercasual title crosses 100 million downloads

Kwalee's first game to pass the incredible milestone!

Kwalee‘s Draw It has officially surpassed 100 million downloads, cementing the company’s position as the world’s most prolific hypercasual game development studio. This rapid-fire drawing game, which was released in April 2019, swiftly became the company’s star hypercasual game after capturing the attention of millions. It topped the Arcade category in 48 countries, remained the top puzzle game in the US for more than two weeks, and surpassed 50 million installs in less than three months.

Draw It has proven to be Kwalee’s most valuable asset

Draw Its accessibility is what makes it so special. With no requirement for creative ability and no penalty for making mistakes, any player can unleash their inner sketch artist with almost infantile enthusiasm. Draw it rapidly became one of Kwalee’s most popular games, and it continues to enthrall a large number of new players after more than 2.5 years.

Kwalee’s CEO David Darling CBE commented on the game’s success,

Hyper casual games never stop progressing and we’re always looking to publish the next big hit, but games like Draw it never lose their appeal and hit 100 million installs is proof of this. It’s a proud ‘first’ for us and we trust our process to deliver more games with over 100 million downloads in the future!

Draw It is Kwalee’s most popular game, and it also happens to be the company’s most profitable title. The game is commonly chosen for charitable events, such as SpecialEffect’s One Special Day event in 2020 and 2021, where a portion of the game’s sales was contributed to the cause.

Despite the fact that it’s a seasoned title in hypercasual terms, Draw it nevertheless racked up over 10 million downloads in 2021 alone. The game is available to download on Android and iOS devices via the Google Play Store and App Store respectively.
