In the recent eFootball 2025 v4.4.0 update that dropped on April 17th, 2025, some interesting stuff has been spotted inside the game files. Players have found what looks like two brand-new Show Time skills in eFootball 2025, and of course, the debate is now whether these are some P2W mechanic.
One skill definition suggests boosting standing tackles in eFootball 2025
As spotted by multiple dataminers and fellow players, right now, these Show Time skills are just known as 157 and 158 (134 and 135 in the images). There’s no official name or full description yet, but the community has been doing a bit of digging.
From the definitions, one of these seems to boost a player’s standing tackle ability, even from a bit of distance. The other skill is still a complete mystery, with nothing concrete to go on just yet.
For the standing tackle skill, some footage has already been showcased, although from the console version. From the below post referenced by popular Japanese creator Amadeusz, this one activates automatically from the player who has this skill.
Honestly, these line up with the defensive upgrades from the v4.4.0 update. Given now improvements in auto-defending, the Show Time skill is a good way to emphasise taking advantage of the new gameplay for players who can spend.
Since these are usually only found on special players like Epic or Big Time cards, the possibility of new ones being added is kind of a big deal. It could change things up, especially in competitive matches where skills like auto-tackles don’t always reflect a player’s actual skill.
