Football fever is back as KONAMI’s hit football title eFootball has introduced the v4.1.0 update in-game. Although not as spectacular as the previously arrived v4.0.0, this is no slouch, as we have plenty of new features coming in. The new season data updates have arrived, new players have been made, and more additions are present, so let us look into the details in depth.

Gracias por tu fútbol campaign and missions
You might have heard the news of one of the greatest midfielders of all time, Andres Iniesta, announcing his retirement. Celebrating his career, KONAMI has introduced a Gracias por tu fútbol campaign dishing out a free card for all users a specially designed Andrés Iniesta. To get him, you just need to complete three Objectives inspired by Iniesta’s iconic number “8” to sign the Epic version of him.
eFootball FIFAe Campaign
After signing a massive agreement, eFootball is now the official title for the 2024 FIFAe World Cup. With this collaboration, a lot of things have been planned, and one of them is a highly rewarding event in-game.
In-game qualifiers have begun at the time of writing, and anyone can join. Participating countries include Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Japan, India, and more. More details have been revealed in the game, where you have three rounds of matches to play.
New Season Data Update
Licenses have also been updated, along with various in-game elements like team data, player photos, graphics, manager data, club strips, emblems, and competition logos. Further updates include boots, balls, pitch-side advertising boards, corner flags, and new cinematics and animations.
The commentary has also been refreshed. The update further includes new season data for leagues and competitions such as Ligue 2 BKT, AFC Champions League Elite, AFC Champions League Two, and AFC Asian Qualifiers, reflecting current teams and names.
New Player Packs and Booster Manager
Every update, we do get a good lot of players coming in and in this update as well, we have these amazing players arriving. The POTW, European Championships, and Nominating Contracts have been updated. Also, nation-wise player packs are active now, which you can get by spending Coins.
Also, we have the Japan Epic Pack featured, consisting of 3 Epic players namely Shinji Okazaki, Shinji Ono, and Naohiro Takahara. Along with them, 8 Highlight players and 139 other currently active players will make an appearance in the Special Player List.
Another talking point of this update is the introduction of a single booster manager. Steven Gerrard is here, who has 88 proficiency in Possession Game and Long Ball. This comes in handy if you prefer playing two different styles depending on the match situation. As for the single booster, it boosts the dribbling stat of the player by 1.
Algorithm and Online Match changes
The algorithm calculates player stats using Uniform Ratings for Players has been updated now, so you can see the changes reflected in the game. Additionally, in online matches, the Select Thrower and Select Kicker options are now limited to one use per set piece, so if you were annoyed for waiting for so long for your opponent to do these, good news for you.
Updated Match Pass
Match Pass has been updated as well. Along with the free Regular Match Pass, you can unlock extra rewards by opting for the Value Match Pass or Premium Match Pass, which can be purchased using eFootball Coins.
