eFootball Mobile 2023 will arrive in late August 2022 as a content update

Get ready for a new season!

eFootball, an online football game and one of the most popular sports games in the world has announced the arrival of its 2023 version for mobile users. It is to be noted that this year eFootball Mobile and PC merged to become one game and allow players to have cross-platform match-ups in the game. This was done to bring the collective fanbase together under one banner to earn more revenue which was going through a financial low.

eFootball 2023 will release with new Player data and cards

According to a notice issued by KONAMI in eFootball Mobile 2022, it has been revealed that the new version of the game, eFootball 2023, will come sometime around late August of 2022. The update like every year before will feature numerous transfers to keep up with the ever-changing world of football in real life. There will be changes made to the affiliated clubs of players, relegation, and promotion of the clubs as such. There will also be the addition of new domestic leagues into the game besides the existing ones.

Coins, GP, and eFootball points will be carried over to eFootball 2023

Although most assets are reset by the end of the season, this time it will be a gradual rollout. Thus, assets will be carried over even after the initial update. Assets such as GP, coins, eFootball points, objectives, login bonus, etc. will be retained. However, certain things such as player pictures on their cards will be changed. Player and manager affiliations will also change to reflect the changes which happened over the summer transfer window.

The final major update with large-scale maintenance will take place around mid-November 2022 in the form of a prolonged maintenance break when final changes will be made. Removed players will be compensated by giving in-game items of the equivalent items to the users.

eFootball has seen a massive dip in the number of positive reviews since the last update. This happened due to various difficulties experienced while playing and other general causes of dissatisfaction. Thus, Konami needs to nail the next update to be in the good books of the users again.
